Parador de Ayamonte

We booked a junior suite (DBB) for 3 adults for 2 nights. We were absolutely delighted with this hotel. The staff, the room, the food and facilities were excellent. Parking is free. The swimming pool was still open with sunbeds and towels available the last week in October which was a nice touch. The views from this hotel are superb - the bridge linking Spain and Portugal is a lovely sight as are the views towards Portugal with the salt flats. In conclusion, we loved this character hotel and we would certainly like to return. This is Spanish Paradors at their best!

We have thrown our devoid on this hotel near the sea (less than 5 minutes walk). The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and is located in the heart of the city centre. Presence of a small gym room but had not the time to use it. Restaurant pour le dîner pas mal et pas trop cher. Bon petit déjeuner. Le parking est payant mais hors période cela ne semble pas nécessaire. Bon voyage

Rooms were fine and comfortable missed not having tea and coffee facilities in the room. But otherwise nice and spacious. We had a room that slept 4 and had one of the biggest balcony's in the hotel overlooking the pool. Food was good we were half board breakfast was ok have everything you would expect. Evening meal was lovely good choice and always fresh. Drinks were served at the table. We had the same waiter most of the week his name was David very helpful with great customer service. As the hotel was very quiet while we were there the entertainment was minimal However Anthony one of the entertainment team made our holiday he was very friendly. Encouraging all holiday makers to join in the fun. He made time to go around talking to everyone. If it was not for him I think we would have spent most of our holiday out of the hotel. We found that not many staff members could speak English so ordering drinks was tricky to start with but as the week went on we got to know the staff and we managed between us. Overall a great holiday in a lovely hotel.
Hotel la Malvasía

We stayed two nights in august and enjoyed every minute. Hotel is in a beautiful restored traditional hacienda. Reminded us of estancias in Argentina. Very old world. Staff polite and helpful with good English. Room clean, beautiful decor, comfy bed. Great pool area on roof top with views of Doñana park and wild horses grazing. Only four deck chairs so fills up quickly. There’s a bell to ring for drinks service by the pool. We had sun downers there with great sunsets. Good breakfast but very overpriced at 16 eur per person. Bread, fruit, ham, cheese and cakes (no eggs or youghurt) plus very good coffee from espresso machine but still not worth 16 euro. Had dinner in their restaurant on first night. Pricy but worth it. We ate outside on their terrace with horses riding by on their evening excercises. We loved the hotel and the very special village of El Rocio. Thank you.

The room and resort were nice. the reception staff were excellent. The breakfast was a huge disappointment...and it cost about the same as the room itself and the charge for our 2 year old daughter was similar to ours. Would not do that again

I have had a lovely relaxing holiday I have taken on board what others have said and do agree with a few point (1) I think evening meals should start at 7pm not 8pm as it's late for a lot of foreigners and I appreciate what the hotel management have said in regards to local eating times but I would've guessed that more than half of the people here are not local so maybe there should be some leniency in regards to this Also, the whole time I was here, all of the Coke lemonade etc at the main bar were all flat and when I tried to go to the restaurant to get Coke which was not flat and was good because at the pool bar and the restaurant the Coca-Cola is fine. They abruptly refused me and almost pushed me out of the restaurant, embarrassing me in front of other people which I did not find, Satisfactory and all I was trying to do is explain that the cook in the main bar is flat. He did not understand my English and he looked very angry. This was the person who is in charge of the restaurant front of house has dark hair probably 5,7 apart from this all the staff where fantastic I had a relaxing holiday also I Would like to give a mention to the spa facilities which are very good and there is a massage therapist there called (Nieves) she is outstanding at her job I had a hit and cold stone massage on my second night I had foot reflexology on my fourth night and And a full hard sports massage on my 5th day she was so very good and professional and made me feel relaxed and at ease at all times I would suggest using her she a five star therapist :-)
