What you want to know: bathrooms are effectively fancy squat style port a potties. They're up the hill just past the restaurant. Check in down the stairs from the food area at the window in the breezeway. Gentleman there was very helpful. For hot water in the morning, just push the flap aside and enter reception, it's just inside the door on the left. Yes the attendant is sleeping right there. Everyone does this before sunrise, so you're good. The restaurant workers were fairly cold toward us. If you intend to do the plank walk in the morning, for us in May, sunrise was at 530, we arrived at the plank walk entry at 625 before they open at 7, line was over 50 people long, we still waited 3.5 hours until we were on the walk. ENJOY.

It rained when I reached the peak. The reception was kind to allow early checkin. There is heater in the 10-bed room. Hot water provided for own sachet of coffee and noodle cup. 1 cup of coffee costs 30 yuan. Breakfast as per photo attached. No water provided. Use cooled hot water for cleaning. . Good comfy bed.

Good place. Staff was nice, food was good although expensive (very nice 牛肉面) and the location was perfect with a fantastic view. The room was basic but comfortable. You can get hot water from the reception and there's both a little restaurant and an outdoor food stall. Easy to find, I recommend taking the West Peak/西峰 cablecar on the way up. Quiet surroundings and there's a heater to keep the room warm at night. Beds were clean, no problem with lack of cleaning. The toilets smelled and there were no showers, but this was advertised in the general information already. Toilets are the same public toilets found everywhere on Hua Shan, they're not great but not terrible either. The price is not cheap, but you pay for staying on top of the mountain far from everything, and the location is perfect for the sunrise. I expected worse from the previous reviews, but this was more than fine. I didn't eat the breakfast since there was a power outage (also happened at West Peak later that day, the price for being on a high mountain top I guess). The staff apologised and asked me to wait until the power came back, but I was eager to start hiking so just decided to skip it. You could still get food from the outside stall if needed.

The sanitation was better than expected. However, the capsule was very stuffy and hot. The exhaust fan was very loud and there was an electric current sound all night. Several people who stayed there said they didn't sleep well that night.

The room is generally clean, the bed is a bit dirty, there is no private bathroom, the hotel has two similar mobile toilets, which are better than dry toilets, at least there is water for sprinkling, drinking water and instant noodle water can be obtained in the duty room, there is a faucet with cold water next to the duty room to wash your face and hands, it is better than expected, you can watch the sunrise as soon as you walk a few steps out of the room, the public place in the hotel is the queue point for the kite turning over, generally speaking, it is still acceptable for one night

Ten people in one room, with upper and lower floors, the room area is about 10 square meters, with a blanket. The conditions on the top of the mountain are limited, and it would be nice to have a resting place to sleep, but the bathroom is not ideal at the moment, and you can only wash in the pool outside the door, and hot water can only be obtained in a limited place. The service attitude is average.

It's OK, although the facilities are ordinary, but I understand, it's a bit damp and a bit noisy. There is a mirror and a fan, but it doesn't work. The door can't be closed completely.

The accommodation conditions were much better than I expected. It was nice to have a clean place to live on such a high mountain. It was a bit cold outside because of the wind at night, but the house was warm and I saw the sunrise in the morning.

The 10-person room we stayed in was mixed with men and women. It was quite quiet at night, and no one snored. It was just that the upper and lower bunks were not well connected, and other beds would wake you up when you turned over. It was quite quiet for people climbing Huashan at night outside. Although I was groggy all night, it was not noisy at all. It was very convenient to watch the sunrise by climbing the back mountain in the morning. The only thing was that I couldn't squeeze into the front row even if I went 1 and a half hours in advance, after all, there were still people setting up tents on the mountain. The staff had a very good attitude, answered all questions, and were very patient. It felt much better than my stay at Wuyunfeng Hotel in 2019

None of the people who checked in on the same day thought that the place was clean and hygienic. And most importantly, there was no ventilation. There was an "air conditioning" button in the cabin, but it didn't work. I asked the boss, and he confidently said, "Yes, it doesn't work." He also confidently said, "It's too stuffy. Is there a fan?" He confidently said, "No fan. 290 yuan for a stuffy box?" It was about 20 degrees in the mountains at night in August, but it's not hot or not, but it's not ventilated. People can't take a shower when they climb up there. Are the sheets and quilts changed frequently? (Another person found tissue scraps before he even went in. They were the kind that wiped a lot of sweat and were like a grain of rice. They fell and dried. He also said that there was a smell in the cabin, but my nose is not very sensitive, so I can't say it's clean, I can only say it's not particularly smelly.) Forget about the service. You go to the canteen to check in, and they will write you a room number. You go there by yourself. Where is the service? There is not even a bottle of water The socket (two-hole) is so loose. I tried to adjust the angle and pad it with something. I even used the quilt and pillow to pad it. It didn't work. It couldn't charge if I moved it a little bit. Picture 1 is a cabin that no one lives in. It should have been tidied up and waiting to be occupied. Picture 2 is the buttons in the cabin. The lights are OK and sufficient. There is an air-conditioning option, but it just doesn't work. And the male owner answered as if it was a matter of course, as if we hope that it can be ventilated and not so stuffy. It's a luxury. In addition, if you use the official applet of the other party to book, it's 30 more expensive than Ctrip. Also, the reason for staying at Dongfeng is to watch the sunrise, but it is in Yingyang Cave below Dongfeng Hotel. It took eight hours to walk from Yuquanyuan to Dongfeng on the first day. On the second day, you have to climb up the slope to Dongfeng (about 10-15 minutes, depending on how painful your legs are that day)

It is right at the East Peak, 10 meters away from the Sun Viewing Platform, and you can also watch the sunset at the top of the East Peak, yes, watch the sunset!!! Of course, you can also watch the sunrise (it depends on luck, I didn’t see it this time). You can play kite flip within 5 meters of the hotel. I recommend friends who go north and west to stay here. It’s not far from here to the Changkong Plank Road.

We didn't get up the mountain until 5:30 pm. It took 2 hours to get from the West Peak Cableway to the East Peak Hotel. The scenery was picturesque after the rain and there were few people. It was good to rest on the mountain for a night. The shampoo and bath wipes I brought with me felt good. The next morning, we watched the sunrise and went down the mountain from the North Peak Cableway.
