Mount Hua East Peak Hotel

Mount Hua East Peak Hotel is one of the good accommodations on Mount Hua and it is located very near to East Peak which you can see sunrise at the morning. You can also do the 鹞子翻身 (Somersault Cliff) just besides the hotel. Room is good and comfortably equipped with thick blanket and heater for each room so you no need to bring any extra bedding (e.g. sleeping bed). Night will be cold and could be strong wind suggest to bring warm jacket. Too bad the day we arrived there is no water (burst pipe or something). And also there are restaurant, hot food stalls and cafe near the hotel compound but it will be cost slightly higher. Staff is helpful.

It is the main building on the East Peak so very easy to find. Clean rooms and the heaters were very warm. I went during winter (0 degrees Celsius) and it was icy outside but the rooms were so warm I didn’t need to bring the extra clothes layers! Check-in through the window in the archway. Lots of other travellers (solo, couple, families) there to also see the sunrise. The sunrise platform is a 5min walk away. Toilet is the public one (squat toilet). Recommended bringing lots of tissue and water if you want to wash up a bit. Free hot water in the reception room.

The hotel is a mountain stay, bathrooms are public not even shared public, water has times during the day, I believe for the price that you pay that is actually expensive for a 10 person bedroom, at least it should have private bathrooms for the hotel, maybe shared but only between hotel people. Also at least offer some waters bottles, you pay nice money at least water should be given. Very basic, just does the job.

It does what it should. The bed comfy and clean in 10 bed mini doms with mixed man and female. No shower means, no water at all to wash hands or face or going to toilett. Be ready to have desinfection and wet towel with you.

I liked the capsule, it was very comfortable. It is down a long staircase from the hotel so you need to take that into account in the morning when you wake up to go see the sunrise. The toilet was ok, the only thing was that the sink didn't have water so bring what you need to clean your hands.

Great location, close to the sunrise terrace. Get up earlier than the sunset, because of the night hikers it can be more crowded than you would expect there. Toilets 100m outside the room, but the path is well illuminated. There is a restaurant in between, looks cheap but I haven't tried it. The building is huge, but the dorms are super small. Beds are confortable but bring ear plugs. Mobile data and phone reception are great on the mountain.
