A quiet time due to Chinese New Year and Covid fears so the friendly receptionist welcomed us enthusiastically and upgraded us to a huge room which was very clean and well maintained with good shower. We could also park the car in front of the hotel but this may not be possible at busier times Location is perfect for visiting Chengkan and also good for local restaurants, we recommend turning left out of the hotel and walking towards the bridge, there is an excellent restaurant on the left just before the bridge (see photo), we ate there twice - dinner & lunch. Breakfast at the hotel was very good - a huge bowl of steaming noodles. On the negative side the weather was cold when we visited and the room did not heat very well, although it was warm enough in bed. Chengkan itself is well worth the visit, very a**ospheric, and try to see it early in the morning or at dusk when there is an eerie, ghostly quality.

Come to Chengkan Bagua Village and stay at this hotel. The transportation is convenient, the environment is beautiful, and the view is right outside the door. The hotel is quite new, located near the north gate of Chengkan Scenic Area, and has a courtyard inside. It is surrounded by residential areas and is fairly quiet. The staff are also quite honest and enthusiastic. The biggest problem is its air conditioner. It is probably a second-hand construction machine. It has no effect.
