Clean but Standard hotel. Location is ideal since its inside the mountain, but the service is subpar. Hotel is a bit older than other hotel in the area. If you have more budget maybe stay in a much high end hotel like Guangmingding.

The room was clean, with heated smart toilet. There were many food options for breakfast, including European cuisine. There is costa cafe inside. The location of the hotel is the closest to lion peak. If you’d like to see a sunrise, location is perfect!

The Huangshan Shilin Hotel is very convenient for visiting the mountains, and they also organise trips to good viewing spots and some days photography workshops, in spite it was included in our booking there was not workshop that day.
The hotel itself is not located at a very high altitude, and the sunset spot where the staff took us was not the best, the sunrise however was amazing (tour leave the hotel at 5:15 end of August)
Dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a variety of options, and are good, when we see the cross the poor Sherpas bringing the food up (as well as clean sheets, building materials etc.) we can complain about options. The hotel is a bit old, and there is no air conditioning, though this is probably not an issue in most seasons.
The staff speak English and are very helpful, which makes things much easier for international visitors.
It’s worth noting that a huge new high-end hotel is currently being built just opposite. Once completed, it will likely bring many more visitors to the area.

You definitely pay a premium for staying on top of the mountain and the rooms are small for the price, but they are clean and comfortable. Free laundry is great to have after a day of hiking and the buffet was good. The service is very friendly and informative. The best thing is the location though. It’s only about 5 minutes from some of the best sunrise spots on the mountain.

Staff is good (especially Hou), everyone was polite and responsive.
Room is small but this is not an issue, because I stayed outside almost the whole time. In room there a heater so I could dry clothes, also there was flashlight and down jacket (!) -- very convenient
However, it's very noisy at night, I can hear every single word and snore of my neighbor. Hotel restaurant is very expensive. In nearby hotels it's cheaper. I understand that hotel is on the mountain, but nevertheless, I expected more for 180€ per night.

The hotel is quite expensive, but it is worth it for the sunrise and sunset in Huangshan. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good.

Beautiful hotel, close to attractive peaks for sunset and sunrise. Also close to the cable. Nice rooms, a bit noisy, and the hospitality is excellent.

Excellent location and very close (5 minutes walk) to the sunrise location. Even though due to cloudy situation and could not see the sunrise, it was a very nice morning with sea of clouds.
