We had a very good stay at the Fantasy Apartment, overall! First and foremost, I want to thank the host, who was super helpful and informative! The room layout is a bit out of the ordinary, but the place was clean and comfortable. The tub was a bit wobbly upon entering/exiting it, so I'd suggest fixing it to the floor better, but the water temperature and pressure were fantastic. Pros: friendly host (but make sure you have a Translation app if you don't speak Chinese), near Hualien Station, 24hour laundromat nearby, places to eat nearby, and places to rent bikes. Cons: wobbly bath, and floor-to-ceiling window (however there are curtains).

The location of the homestay is convenient, and there are convenience stores at the entrance of the alley outside! There is also a lovely cafe nearby with famous curry rice and you can reach it without driving! This time I stayed in the double room on the 4th floor, I was surprised to see the sea! I stayed here for two days in June last time. I missed it very much. This time I came here for three days, but this time I was told that happy our could not be used. This time I came to stay, the TV was broken, the hot water was not hot, and the amount of water was very small. Using happy hour, my children took time off and drove nearly five hours to stay here. They were not in a good mood these three days and didn’t even go to the playroom or swimming pool. I will move to another place next time and will not consider coming here again.

The pool is biggest ever tried in Taiwan, kid is having fun. The facility is impressed after renovation, but few things can be improved; 1. The buffet restaurant is small, easily overfull and took long line to get in on peak hours. 2. The bed is too hard, this is quit disappointed, it seems to me the bed was not upgrade during the room renovation. V

Very clean, shower and toilet inside and outside the room. Bed are big enough and comfortable. Breakfast is provided! Toast, ham, cheese and various spreads. The crowd is very different from any hostel I stayed before, many middle age people and even kids!! So might not be the perfect place for you if you want to make friends. Everyone I talked to, from the staff to the guest was extremely nice! At the reception you can get information to visit the taroko gorge.

Good service and nice room overall. Good Chinese style breakfast. Check in kiosk is used, which is interesting, however still need to go to reception for the breakfast voucher. Location is not the best, 15 minutes walking from Jian train station and pretty much no other public transport nearby. I ordered a taxi from the reception.
