Location and room are nice. Some quirks with the showerhead. Free bikes, as advertised, are not usable. Communication with the owner is terrible. Information only in Chinese and the content is very customer unfriendly in my opinion. Specific questions by mail are not answered, but he gives the same information as before.

The best boutique hotel in the center of Hualien. I like it a lot. The owner is very friendly, he is local and he recommended restaurants and bars that are very nice and rich. The location of the hotel is close to the night market, you can walk to eat dinner. Also close to the cafe for breakfast. I will stay next time when I travel to Hualien.
