I set 65rmb/night during the peak of the Songkran Festival, and 110rmb/night at the same time. Generally speaking, compared to the other, it is worth the fare.
Address location: It is directly in the night market. When I leave, if I have to go back to Bangkok by my own mini bus, the fare is 200 baht, and I have to go to the station by myself. If the boss makes a phone call and gets on the bus directly at the gate of the Youth Hostel, it is only 180 baht. Hua Hin-Bangkok Mochi, I decisively chose the latter.
Sleep experience: Sleeping is very comfortable, because the quilt is more thick, suitable for our Chinese, a few days ago, the opposite is his inn, there is a blanket thinner than the bath towel, cold in the middle of the night. This house will not be too cold. The surrounding feeling of the bed is stronger. Sleep is good.
Disadvantages: There is no concealer curtain. Fortunately, I brought my own ultra-thin beach cloth in China, and I just picked it up to cover the shame. Birds can be heard outside the window. The air conditioner is very low.
Washing experience: 4 bathrooms, 4 toilets, there are clothes rails in the bathroom, the distance is just not wet. The water temperature is very good, it is small gas, hot water is available at any time. You can also look in the mirror in the bath, there is a shower gel shampoo area, and they also provide a large bottle of shower gel brand in the supermarket. The brushing area is outside the bathroom and does not disturb each other. The storage cabinet (7-11 the lock sold in the supermarket is about 17rmb/piece, I brought it from China) is at the door of each bathroom. Bath towels are not provided, I can use disposable bath towels in China for many days. I also prepared disposable slippers myself. They basically everyone upstairs and downstairs barefoot dumplings, inevitably there are granular I don't like, so I have already brought my own disposable slippers, very comfortable.
Humanistic experience: The boss is fluent in Chinese ancestry and can speak English and Thai baht. The boss's father is very fluent in Chinese. His father came to Thailand from Guangdong Hakka in the past few generations. His mother is very beautiful, old and can see that it is the kind of beauty. The family is warm, smiling and kind.
Plus points: someone on the roof meets for drinks and food. Food is bought at the night market or convenience store downstairs. The roof can dry clothes and there are hangers.
There are biscuits, coffee, kitchen supplies in the public area for free. There are also books. It’s very good to take a taxi and buy food and drink. The place is relatively small, so the guests from all countries are very close, and they will basically say hello and chat socially. I met a German brother who traveled for four months and a graduate of the American Beauty University.

The location of the hotel is excellent, everything is nearby: markets, cafes, beach, 7/11, final songthaew. The hotel is old, but everything is clean, the furniture is in good condition. They cleaned very well. Shampoos, gels, soap, caps in the room are updated daily. The pool is small, in the photo it looks much larger. The staff is responsive, they helped with any request. There are no breakfasts, but there are many cafes nearby, right on the territory of the hotel ”Korean Corner” - American breakfast 120b.

The staff were excellent. Very good buffet breakfast and hotel was very clean. They allowed me to bring my bicycle to my room no problem. If there as a weak point it would be the pool. Blocked by buildings so really no direct sun if that is a concern for you. The gym was good, small but had what I needed and everything worked and I appreciated they provided disinfectant so I could wipe down machines before and after. I would absolutely stay here again and was 2 blocks from the night market and 2 blocks from the daily fresh fruit market

I recently stayed at The Standard Hotel in Hua Hin with my husband and daughter, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, which creates a refreshing atmosphere perfect for a relaxing holiday. The abundant trees provide numerous beautiful photography spots, and the magnificent tree at the center of the hotel serves as a lovely symbol of the place.
The swimming pool, while medium-sized, is just right for spending quality time with family.
One of the standout features was the impressive breakfast. The staff exhibited excellent service, and I appreciated the option to order eggs; they served them fresh at our table.
However, I would suggest that the front desk communicate better with housekeeping. We were provided with only two towels for our stay, which was a bit inconvenient for three people. Also, note that breakfast for children is priced at 400 baht, which you can pay at check-out.
On a positive note, there is plenty of parking available, and the hotel is both kid-friendly and pet-friendly.
Overall, I highly recommend The Standard Hotel for a great family getaway!

I have stayed at the Hua Hin Grand Plaza Hotel a few times. I do think that there are many areas that need improvement.
This hotel has been in Hua Hin as long as I can remember, unlike so many in a town that has grown immensely in the past 20 years.
Their prices remain competitive, but certain areas of their service can be really annoying.
The breakfast buffet, B250, is presented well, but for the majority of farang customers, it was basically cereal, toast, eggs, processed ham, and sausage. There are some hot Thai dishes but, in my opinion, not ideal for the farang palate. Added to that fruit (limited) coffee, tea, juice (small cups), and some small pastries. Not value for money.
The room internet was 2 79 mbps when I arrived, totally hopeless, I complained, and a technician suddenly made it 29 mbps. It's sloppy maintenance.
Finally, I had no hot water for two days. It was rectified but again sloppy maintenance.
There were other minor annoyances that have now changed my mind about returning. However, a staff member told me they were fully booked, so make your own mind up!!

Outstanding
MMalikSohailThe resort is beautiful. Food is excellent. Staff are very friendly. However the room.doesn't feel like a 5 star resort. It felt a bit cheap to me. And I am not a fan of the desperated bathroom concept.
PParadiseCityAlways happy to stay at the Amari huahin. Extended with one more night. We like the pool and rooms are spacious and well designed. Too bad they don’t have the beachfront bar and pool anymore. Will come back!
GGwyneth710The floor in the bathroom is slippery, we have asked servicing department and front desk to give us a bath mat for 3 times before the staff can understand. There was a large company to have team building in hotel during our stay. Therefore they occupied most of the beach club, having party in beach club until 1:00 am. Since we are staying in the deluxe seaview room, we are highly disturbed by their music (noise)! It is not convenient for calling grab unless you paid additional 120 baht and order in advance. Breakfast is just average and we have to queue up some times to get our coffee and food since there are more than 100 guests but only have 2 coffee machines and not much food counters.
JJun-PThere is a night market nearby, but unfortunately it is across the railroad tracks and you have to go the long way around.
At the water park, my child could not use the floatation ring I brought.
I wish they would at least let us use the type of floats that attach to our arms.
The rooms are clean and the children like the playful bunk beds.
UUrban blissThe hotel is an about 5-10mins from hua hin night market or major shopping centres. So you’ll need to commute back and forth if you want to do some shopping or for meals outside of the hotel but taxis ain’t easy to get during busy hours.
We booked two rooms with garden view. The rooms felt a bit old and our boys got really bad mosquito bites all over their face, arms and legs (So beware if you are travelling with kids).
There were many activities for kids (badminton, swimming, mini football, kids room) but you do need to queue for your turn as the hotel was busy.
Breakfast was buffet styled and the food was ok (but nothing too spectacular) with plenty of local and western options.
The spa was very good. I had a deep tissue massage and I just felt so relaxed and slept through half of the treatment.
Overall, a well established resort in hua hin with a more traditional or old-school feel to it. If you are looking for a more modern resorts with newer facilities, then this may not be the place for you.
GgodskitchenThe pictures posted be others didn't do this villa any justice, this place looks and feels much better than that. I was sceptical at first, but decided to go ahead with the booking. Was very surprised by the place.
First of all, the villa is totally cool. Reception is very welcoming. Welcome drinks and friendly smiles makes your long hours drive so worth it. Parking is available with about 20 lots. Security will guide you to your lot, not many llts utilised but stayers.
The walk to the villa is just a short throw, 1 minute. Each and every villa has almost totally privacy. 2 main types ground level or upper level. Ground level has private pool, view from upper level is blocked from view via an aluminum awning louvres. The pool is also blocked from view from outsiders via bamboo structures.
The ground level with private pool is all yours, not share with next door. There is a jacuzzi in the bath area. Huge one in a huge bath area. 2 separate wash basins with separate standing shower and toilet, all sheltered by glass panels. Make up area is big too. Big side bed by the ultra huge bed. Putting 2 king beds describes the size, can sleep 4 adults side by side.
The beach is just a few villas roons distance away depending on which villa is yours.
Photos attached to justify the better than expected uploaded pictures.
There's are also non villa rooms, but didn't explore them.
Breakfast is imho about jist above average, sufficient on international and local delights. But don't buy my words, i travelled far and wide and had high expectations on food. Eggs station, wide selection of drinks and around 10 hot dishes, cold dishes about there too. Restaurant is by the beach. Sunrise view but hot is you sit by the individual shelters, else the main restaurant good.
Overall impressed with the service, from security, to porter, to the reception.
Rooms are clean as it can get, pool with some particles by acceptable, jacuzzi is as good as new. Wooden structures dish as doors and bridges by the pool and wooden decks looks a little wormed out, but some has been repaired, never impacting stay.
Location is far from the night market but if you are after peace and quiet, this is the one. Near takiap. 6min drive to hua hin beach, else 30min walk along the coast.
One of the best villas at its price range. Reviewed based on july 2024.
EElliottThe outside amenities are top notch with beautiful decoration. Once you hit the inside of the room it’s spacious but the furnishings are old, the bedding is that of a college dorm with two rags as pillows and some cheap stuffed animals as throws. The electrical outlets worked half the time and the elevator broke down. The interior towels and bedding reminded me of the cheap stuff used in cheap hotels in China. Other than that the staff is super nice and helpful. I’d stay again just for the swimming pool.
土土炮I really like this feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle and lying quietly for a few days. When I was looking for a hotel before departure, I was attracted by the independent swimming pool of this resort. I regretted it when I first arrived yesterday because it was really a bit remote... (but what happened later made me completely change my mind). Because the service was so good that I felt embarrassed. In the morning, breakfast was delivered to the room and laid out. In the evening, there were people waiting for us when we came back. It didn’t matter which room we were in. We felt at home. When we came back, we saw that the room was clean and tidy. Besides, he also folded all my messy clothes neatly😂
FFengjingrushihuaThe sea view cottage is worth staying in. It is on the fourth floor, with 2 floors on each floor, with a balcony. There is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, it is recommended to choose the lower floor. The upper floor has a wide view, the sound insulation is not too good, the air conditioner is super cold and the sound is loud, the WiFi network is not slow, and the signal is good. The area is quite suitable for a family hotel. There is a big bed, 2 small beds, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 large balconies (the bathroom downstairs is a bit small, so fat people should not enter.) Plus the 1.5m sofa bed in the 1F living room, it can accommodate 6 people without any problem. It’s just that the small room upstairs facing the road seems to have no big windows and is afraid of the dark. Children have shadows in their hearts and avoid the crowd. No toiletries are provided, and towels are also a bit old. It is recommended to bring your own. In addition to not being able to cook, the dinner plates, knives, forks and cups are complete, and they also thoughtfully give dishcloths, bottle openers, and fruit knives. I was stunned.
The pool water is a little green, but still clear, so it doesn't matter if you are not good at swimming. Hua Hin has strong winds and waves in January. The tide is high during the day, so you can't walk along the ChomView coast to play in the sea and sand. The tide will go out after 6 pm. You can walk to Hua Hin Beach in the north and to Khao Takiap in the south at night. If you like to go to the sea, you can check the tide table online. Overall, the hotel has everything you need, and it is a big deal for a small price. It is suitable for people who are not picky. It is very close to the Cicada Night Market (Thursday-Sunday). There is also a cost-effective seafood food stall Pa-Ruay Pu Pen diagonally opposite the night market. It is recommended by a certain audio.
