The room was clean and the location was convenient. The self-service water machine outside the room and the free coffee machine in the lobby are very good. Since I arrived at the hotel at 7 a.m., I paid an extra $50 to check in early, which was very convenient.

There’s so much good to say about this place! This place is a petite venue full of vibrant vibes! Right in downtown with proximity to nice restaurants and bars. Hotel location is APT! There’s just right enough things to do, starting with the neon lights at the entrance to being greeted by Brian the Barista - was delighted to have his world famous The Brian coffee, just perfect at any time of the day! He explained about the history of this building and showed us around. Lobby area, elevators, hallways and room were all clean and neat. It always felt fresh, be it any time of the day. I loved how they have a nice touch of welcoming on the mirrors of elevator and vanity. Was there with 2 other friends of mine and we had such a comfortable stay. Honestly, it was my first time at a Moxy but I must say the people here are GEM! Nelly, the housekeeping manager was sooo lovely, she was super friendly and made sure all our requests were answered in time. Love her, would definitely be back to experience this kind of hospitality. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and best! I was back in Houston after a year and she made it feel like home here. They restocked their shelf everyday by the elevator to make sure extra towels were there when required. The rooms were well lit, the gym was good enough and their pretty M lounge was perfect for work. It’s been a while since I have seen such clean rooms, housekeeping was top notch! Thanks to Mirna for all the tidy work. Met the GM by the lobby area, was such a nice gentleman! Overall 10 on 10. Not to forget, Ramon the public area attendant was always seen doing his job dedicatedly with all his efforts in and a ever green smile on his face. Valet was kind enough to help with bags! Preserve these gems! Missed the party by the bar but we will definitely be back the next time we are Houston. Thanks Moxy was this amazing stay!!! Thanks Nelly and team!

The room has two double beds and a sofa bed. The size of the double bed is a bit small, and it will be a little crowded to sleep for two adults. It is okay to pull the sofa out and sit on the bed and sleep for two people. There is a microwave in the room, no cooking utensils and cutlery, it is difficult to cook, only the microwave oven can simply heat the microwave food. Hotel breakfast is an ordinary American breakfast bar, but there are not many varieties, but the fruit coffee yoghurt eggs are very complete, and there is no problem to eat. The hotel is in the downtown area, and there are some tramps around in the evening. It is best not to go out late. The three hotels are connected together and they will enter the wrong hotel if they are not careful.

Great location, good parking, and the hotel was very nice. Staff was friendly but felt like there wasn’t quite enough staff there to accommodate everyone…side note, only 2 out of 5 elevators worked

I travel around the country a grade hotels because I’m in and out often. From the Four Seasons Ritz Carlton Marriott Marquis W hotels Westin, Sheraton‘s etc. but I was greeted and made to feel like I was a VIP when I arrived on Site. I was welcomed by Miss J and miss Jerri and the young man Jay. They went over and above to assure me And my Brother and family that we were the guest of honor in the hotel. The Front office staff names escape me at the moment, the were attentive to our every need punctual and extremely kind. The GM must Be Very Proud to have staff like this. The final line I want to pen is the restaurant the staff was more than kind all four days. Thank You So Much For A Great Stay. I would recommend this hotel again again and again. Thank You. Shep DLW

The absolute worst Marriott experience ever! Rude lazy front desk staff old outdated room. We flew in and had been up since 3am and requested early check-in I was OK with a few hours without a room but 6 hours as a honors member was ridiculous. I went to the desk and asked again and was told nothing was available yet I asked for my checked baggage and woke my daughter up to leave and miraculously a manager appeared saying she had us a room. The guy at the desk we dealt with prior was completely clueless and the others were just plain rude. It is cool tonight and we called twice for someone to lite the fire pit but no one showed up after waiting over an hour still no fire. I have never left a bad review and have been faithful to Marriott for over 25 years. If this is what Marriott has to offer these days I'm over it. Don't stay here if you're expecting anything more than being treated like a bother. That's not what I go on vacation for if so I'd stay at a roadside inn. Rude lazy and uncaring look further for a place there's plenty nearby.

Very good! Facing the street but not very noisy! Breakfast is also very good! Service is very good! Will choose here. Cheap price! Parking side, plenty of parking spaces. Great location!

Great location if you are going to Astros or Rockets games, or the convention center. Building looks fairly new and modern. Seems like maybe they need another couple of elevators...there was frequently a line at all times of the day. Pretty reasonable price given the location. It is a shared location with a Homewood...makes for some interesting, but certainly not bad adjustments. Breakfast was one of them...served out of two locations Friday to Sunday, one location on Monday to Thursday. Breakfast was on the better side of brand standard. It appeared the previous occupants of our room had a little grudge against someone in them. They left the safe locked open (that was fixed very quickly), the fridge open, so it was hot...took overnight to get cold again, and the toilet plugged, which took 6 hours and 3 requests to get fixed. And the maintenance guy left a horrible disgusting mess in the toilet after fixing the problem. The front desk personnel seemed to be a generally unhappy group. No mention of my Lifetime Diamond, or even Diamond status, and had to ask for my Diamond perks. Housekeeping services are by request only.

We are very disappointed with what we endured during check-in on 30 MAR 2024. A reservation for a NONREFUNDABLE, one bedroom king suite was made on 11 FEB 24, and the PAYMENT POSTED to my credit card on the 13th...weeks before we could even buy tickets for the game on MLB.. We've stayed here many times specially going to Houston for baseball games. This day, we arrived at the hotel at 2:15 pm. The gentleman at the counter was very polite and said that ”our type of room wasn't ready yet; check-in is at three”. No problem... we totally understood that. We had a four hour drive; arriving early and having to wait is on us. We made ourselves comfortable in the lobby. Things went drastically downhill for the next almost three hours. I got back in line about every 30 minutes while watching the lines steadily grow. Second trip to the desk... he's still pleasant; room is not ready. Third trip up a young lady (pregnant...sorry I didn't get any names) is ready to assist. She said ”there aren't any king suites available; I'm going to switch you to two queen beds.” I said no... I reserved a one bedroom king... I'll wait. On my way back to my chair I told the guy whom originally helped me what she said and he reassured me that I'd get the king. Fourth trip to the counter. It's easy to see that he's getting as annoyed with me as I am with this situation... and quickly says I'm doing reconciliations (or whatever word he used)... I'm trying to find rooms). I go sit back down with my husband, 11yo granddaughter, and her friend... and our poodle. Fifth trip to the counter and I'm in no mood for the nonsense I'm about to endure. The guy says ”I'm sorry ma'am I'm going to have to give you a two queen suite; there aren't any king suites available. The young lady decides to interject ”it's beyond our control” in my conversation instead of continuing on with the customer in her line. My husband and I were not happy about two queen beds. First of all he's 6'2” and secondly, we didn't want to sleep next to two giggling 11 year olds, hence the reason I took the necessary steps that I did. We wanted what we had reserved and PRE-PAID for. I then asked what's the difference in price between the two room types to which she said there isn't any. Oh my God... I replied there had better be and I want to speak with the manager. I'm not sure but I think the next lady that came to assist was an assistant manager because the manager wasn't available at that moment. She was helpful and mysteriously found a one bedroom king suite. We just needed to wait for it to be cleaned. While we waited the manager; a very nice gentleman approached us. I explained everything that had transpired. I declined his offer to give me ”some points”. Points were NOT going to fix the fact that we arrived in ample time to get checked-in, changed, and go to the ballpark so the girls could get autographs. Gee this hotel has awesome rooms. I am travelling across the USA right now and the rooms are spacious and good facilities. However, a hotel is always good when nothing goes wrong. When you need some help or something goes wrong you really get a real sense of what a hotel is all about. The room I was in had problems with the bathroom when I returned after a day out. I was advised to wait until the morning without a toilet or shower until the maintenance person arrived the next day. I also tried to access the 24/7 market to be advised they couldn’t serve me as they didn’t access to the till. If I was just staying in a room without needing anything, I would recommend this hotel hugely. But if something goes wrong or you need some help….
