Hilton Garden Inn Houston NW/Willowbrook

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything worked. It seems that for business travel is 2022, this has become the ceiling instead of the floor for expectations. Everywhere is understaffed and doing the best they can with who they have. That said, this was close to a pre-COVID experience. Also, there’s a Hilton Home2Suites next door. I stayed there a few months ago - avoid it at all costs. The HGI has an on-site restaurant with good food. It shares a parking lot with PF Changs.

I stayed this past weekend with my family and my son’s soccer team. The Element was extremely accommodating and the room was very nice. We especially liked the large refrigerator and the room layouts. Their breakfast had a yogurt bar for the wife, pancakes for the kids and my favorite eggs/potatoes/sausage.

Trip. Com has done nothing but inconvenience me. Waste my time. Take my money.... I'm in tears because my very good friend who is like family to me passed away. I came to Houston for funeral and booked through trip.com I will tell everybody I know that this company is horrible and will not provide professional customer service or even compensation after all of the hassle. I will go through anyone else but this company. They need to go out of business. I've never been upset so many times because a booking company took my money and left me in a bind.
Houston Marriott South at Hobby Airport

So my sister and I stayed at this location in April 2024. She booked the rooms as she is an Elite member and we got two adjoining King rooms. I got to the hotel and found that it is the type of hotel where the hallway is open so you can see down into the lobby and they have a glass elevator. That is something I should have paid attention to and looked at further pictures of the hotel. I never would have stayed there as I dont like heights. My fault not the hotels. We go to the rooms and they were very nice. Nice modern bathroom, everything seemed clean and comfortable. We put some stuff away and went to have lunch with relatives. While we were away my sister telephoned the hotel, explained the situation on my not wanting to be on that high of a floor and they moved us to the third floor when we got back. That is when things started to change. My tv had the cable unplugged and I could not get it plugged in so they sent someone up right away to fix it. That was fine but my sister's phone was not working and they said they would send someone to repair it and never did. It was incredibly cold so we mentioned it leaving for the evening and they said they would send someone up. When we got back it had gone from incredibly cold to hot and the phone still did not work. I was able to sleep most of the night and we were busy the next day so didnt mention it. Before we left for the day we had the breakfast buffet and we enjoyed it and the female server we had who was very nice and in fact we had her all three days and hated to tell her goodbye. We came back late in the evening to a still hot room but again since they had moved us I thought I could sleep again through the night but I woke up at least twice as it was too hot. The next morning I got up and my sister told me she had ants on her counter. We stopped by the desk on the way out and told them about the heat and the ants. When we returned that evening both rooms had been cooled down however she discovered ants on the bed she had been using . They were gone from the counter and now were in the bed. She went down to the desk and they informed her they could move her to a room around the corner from mine as they had no one to take care of the ant problem that night. She moved her items into the other room and when I went to help her came back to discover that I no longer get into MY room because the keys would not work. I dont know if it was because she had moved her room and her name was on both rooms or what but after going back to he desk not once but twice for new keys with no success they sent an employee up and he fixed my door. This was after my sister's keys didn't work the first day and they had given her a new set which never worked but we didn't bother changing them because my room was connected. The hotel itself was beautiful. The employees were helpful but the things that occurred should never have happened in the first place. I would not have sta
Residence Inn Houston Westchase on Westheimer

Westchase
I booked this hotel based on stars and without looking at the actual reviews. I should have looked at the reviews and pictures. I was in town for a stressful reason so I didn't have the time or energy to complain and really, there wasn't any sense in complaining. This place has been run down for quite some time, and complaining wouldn't have made it better. I figured I would just make do but I also discovered I had only hand towels in my room. I called the front desk and the person who answered had to ask me what room I was in, so obviously, even their phone systems are so outdated that it didn't tell her that information. I waited about twenty minutes and called again. She let me know that they were waiting for the dryer. !!! I used a hand towel because I had to leave. When I returned, no towels had been delivered. I went to the office to get them myself. The phone no longer worked - it only gave a busy signal. The person in the office looked like she was half asleep and sitting on her own phone but she kindly gave me towels. The unit itself was filthy with grime on the doors. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. There was peeling paint and damage to walls and furniture. There wasn't hot water. It got just barely warm enough to tolerate. All in all, it's just awful and needs a complete overall. The fact that this is a Marriott property is incredible. Someone needs to do a site visit and then begin the renovation process.
