Marriott Marquis Houston

Lazy river view from our room on the 22nd floor was incredible! Would stay here again - spacious room. Infinity pool + lazy river + hot tub = luxury resort ! Area around is not so great though. $65 valet worth it as the self park area was sketchy - homeless a block from hotel.

Great location, service and wonderful place to stay. It was a little loud downtown and could hear it in the rooms.

Possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at; - the shampoo dispenser didn’t work - the ac unit was extremely slow at cooling. Took all night to reach temp. - the walls are extremely thing I could hear every little noise outside the door. -the windows were really thin too could hear cars doing donuts all night long -the elevator was extremely noisy and I happens to be next to it which included all night long The pool - the pool is nice -I had rented a cabana and the email specified it came with free water and snacks. No one gave me the free stuff until nearly 2.5hrs later into our 4.5 hr rental. I had to ask multiple people never got help. The writer never even checked on us. Luckily I saw the manager walking by which made things right for us and even bought us dinner. I believe the manager name was Anthony? Anyway he was by far the best manager to deal with and made the night better thanks to him. Overall though the hotel is not worth the rental price if I had to say so myself. I don’t recommend it and I don’t think I would stay again. Not for the price is cost at least

Too much noise, people and cars kept us up. Ended up leaving at 12:30 from all the noise. First time coming here and worse experience. Maybe we choose the wrong time.

We selected Marquis over other Marriott options primarily for the pool. The adult only portion is a complete joke, it’s first of all very small, part of the lazy river area and filled with kids. The clothing on most female patrons was anything but family oriented and lastly very few umbrellas or chairs available for use. Lots of the chairs had towels without patrons and there was not a staff to enforce posted rules. I would say pool is small for size of hotel. The room itself was very nice, however missing items such as glasses, face towels etc. that you would expect in the room. Our room hall was filled with the smell of **** in a non-smoking hotel. The staff overall were vey nice and helpful.

On my second night there was a group chat f people that stayed up all night smoking ********* and screaming. People will come and knock and it was pretty loud. They were even playing music. I didn’t feel safe calling lobby to complaint because I have my daughter and myself that day only. I can’t believe on a hotel like this type things like this happens. I have stayed at Marriots for most of my trips but this one in Houston was the most terrible experience. When I said something at the lobby when checking out there was not even an effort to make it up, they let me walk with not apologies or nothing. No words to describe this situation.
