The location was excellent, and staff were helpful; however, we had a plumbing issue in our room that should have been noticed. We were moved to a different room for our second night.

A charming family owned hotel located near the beach. Very nice and helpful staff. We enjoyed a room with a view to the sea in the second floor. During night there is not much traffic in the street, so we kept the window open. Houlgate is great place to visit including the countryside .

For its 2 stars this is a great hotel. Quite modern inside, a very helpful friendly welcome, even helped carry suitcase upstairs. Great location for town and beach with free parking opposite. Breakfast good for class of hotel. Bed very. comfortable

Weekend stay
Had a great stay at the hotel with a very helpfull owner at the reception! Had a familyroom with a nice view to the sea. Breakfast is priced fairly and everything was very fresh. Parking opposite the hotel is public and free of charge and with a little patience you will find a place :-)).

We wanted a base for a few days exploring this area on our e-bikes and chose HDP. We loved the location , the free parking just across the road and the breakfast buffet. The hotel is really convenient for local restaurants and the long and lovely beach. The hotel has recently changed hands and the new owner Quentin is a friendly host. Recommended.

Très mitigé de ce séjour. Les plus de l’hôtel: situé dans le centre d’Houlgate avec les commerces à proximité, accueil sympathique. Points à revoir : la vue mer n’en est pas vraiment une, il faut se pencher à la fenêtre pour voir la mer, poussière dans la chambre un peu partout, bouilloire inutilisable à cause du calcaire, ventilateur inutilisable à cause de la poussière, salle de douche pleine de rouille et vétuste, joints jaunes et moisis, frigo sale….etc Le petit déjeuner est très simple, avec peu de choix et tout est assez industriel. la salle est plutot agréable. Cela vaut 11€ pas plus. Le prix de la chambre est donc trop élevé compte tenu des remarques ci dessus. Nous irons donc ailleurs la prochaine fois. Dommage car il y a du potentiel mais il y a un peu de travail.
