Beware of staying at this Residence Inn, as my experience has been permanently marred. The staff here engages in collective dishonesty, tarnishing the reputation of the entire establishment. I arrived at the extended stay hotel at 3 am on Christmas Eve and had previously called to ensure a smooth check-in process. Management assured me that a late check-in was possible. However, upon arrival, the hotel was deserted, and security informed me that Judy, a staff member, was at the Fairfield Inn across the parking lot due to a system outage. After a confrontation with Judy, during which she charged my card without prior notice, the situation escalated. It's important to note that these charges occurred while I was stranded on top of a mountain in snowy conditions. Despite the system outage, she insisted on a $400 security deposit, citing policy. Resigned and exhausted at 3 am, I agreed to use a different card. After our argument, Judy agreed to let me stay if I walked back to the Fairfield Inn (2725 Geyser Drive) to ask the manager, Matthew, if that was okay. So, reluctantly, I did. After explaining and apologizing the manager gave me a room key for a room at the Fairfield just for the night. He said go get some sleep but the room he gave me wasn't ready. When my fiancé expressed displeasure about the room and Judy, Matthew, decided to escalate the situation by calling 911 and falsely claiming my fiancé alone was refusing to leave. He NEVER mentioned me in his report. The following day, discovering additional charges on my account, I returned to the Residence Inn. The woman working day shift IMMEDIATLY began treating me differently because of the night prior. She plastered on a fake smile and then made excuses for helping out 3 other people even though I was there first! Then, instead of helping she provided false information about holds on my account in order to stall me until the her boss showed up. I endured all of this only to discover that the entire night shift fabricated a report about us being violent and aggressive and refusing to leave. The day shift manager fixed the issue and then I left. This experience was a nightmarish sequence of lies and mistreatment. The evening shift staff, particularly Judy, Matthew, and their small security guard. Should reflect on their actions. This Marriott has proven to be the worst I've ever encountered. Potential guests, especially disabled veterans, should exercise caution and explore alternatives such as the LA Quinta Inn across the street. Beware of deceptive reviews; the staff at this establishment appears to be unified in dishonesty, even towards disabled veterans.

The bed was super comfortable. The room and lobby were exceptionally clean. The day I was supposed to check out, I had a meeting scheduled for the afternoon and they were very accommodating with a late checkout. I never write reviews, but the reason I'm doing it now is because Antonio at the bistro was FANTASTIC! I unknowingly missed breakfast by an entire hour. Instead of telling me I was out of luck, he fired up the stove and cooked an amazing breakfast for me. A full breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes... the whole 9 yards. Incredible customer service! Give that man a raise!

Front desk staff is terrific and friendly. There are really no bad views on all sides of the hotel if you're on a high floor. The pool was open and very clean nice workout area too. Concierge lounge open on very limited basis however good news they give you a coupon good for a wonderful breakfast buffet I had The Omelette it was good the team in this area are very friendly as well. The local shuttle staff is very accommodating very friendly and quick to respond I used them both nights in my state to go to local restaurants. Had a problem with the room on the first night they quickly put me into another room. Comfortable bed good TV good work area bathroom has walked in shower and was just fine. Almost forgot they have a nice lobby lounge with happy hour. Nice job Colorado springs Marriott team!

I love this hotel for a variety of reasons. The rooms are always clean, fresh and well designed. The staff is friendly and effective. The location is fantastic! I like to come here with my two young boys because the pool is kind of perfect both in cleanliness and size. You can park and not have to drive for days. Right across the parking lot there is a Baskin Robbins, a gastropub, a fuzzy's and much more. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is within half an hour of here as are many other wonderful colorado springs attractions. That they recently decided to charge for parking is my only complaint.

We would like to say that this is one of those diamonds in the rough. Wonderful hotel even though the area doesn't seem like the best. We had a fantastic sized room with a great scenic view. Hotel itself is close to I25 and Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak, and other scenic areas. Besides the nice sized room, the staff at this hotel are great. We especially would like to acknowledge, De'Andre, a front desk staff member, who was just so helpful to us. He helped us with directions to our tours a couple of times, and also directed us towards restaurants in the area. He was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great with the coolest pancake making machine. The kitchen staff also deserves acknowledgement, because they work very hard, too. We really liked the pool area, too, but one slight complaint there...that the pool could be a little warmer. Thanks for a great visit to Colorado Springs.

Stayed here with family for the Air Force Academy graduation. We had just stopped at 2 other Hamptons on our drive out. This was my least favorite. The people working are extremely nice. I have a feeling the manager is getting a bonus for money saved on the little things. For example, they will put out one type of creamer for the coffee each day- just one. They put out ”fresh” cookies each afternoon - hard as rocks (we were there for 3 days) and the only option was macadamia nut. There were numerous small things like this in the eating area. They were ”out” of regular yogurt, cream cheese, butter, you get the idea. However, they did have cute graduation decor in the lobby, and put out small individually-wrapped candy in a bowl (also a snack mix, which was just loose in a bowl for everyone's hands to dig in- no thanks). The 2 people working the breakfast area were wonderful, especially the tall gentleman- he kept up with everything! Since I had just been at 2 other Hamptons, I noticed the difference in the napkins, cutlery, toilet paper, tissues, etc. It's just a little bit cheaper/rougher. Unbelievable that you can have 2ply TP that you can still see through. The location is absolutely fantastic, one exit from USAFA, easy on/off the interstate, and there are tons of meal options around (although we mostly ate downtown). s/o to Shauntece, the front desk manager, who helped us get our rooms straightened out! Overall, I would recommend for location and staff friendliness.

There is a difference between a suite and a studio. The suite has a separate room. Studio is one room. Both have small kitchen and pull out sofa. In our studio we could use the cushions from the sofa as another extra bed on the floor! There was no oven - just a stove top. There is full fridge, freezer, microwave, some dishes, some utensils and a pot and pan. Indoor pool was nice and warm maybe about 88?. Hot tub was adjustable heat and beautiful with jets. Great view of Pikes Peak. Not noisy. There was a full shower in the pool area (no walls and in the pool area). Lots of choices for breakfast buffet - eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, juice, sausage, waffles.

GGuest User 2023.02.27
We booked this place based on great reviews and the kitchenette option for an extended stay at a conference so we could prepare most of our own meals. At first glance, the rooms are well laid out, good natural lighting, decent water pressure, good sitting area separated from the bedroom and a separate shower/toilet area from the main sink/mirror area. Front desk gal was super-friendly and efficient at check-in, and the room appeared as advertised on the website. The place clearly has great potential. But things quickly went south after first impressions, particularly with housekeeping. We unloaded food, suitcases, etc and got settled in and ready to prepare our first meal and found very little cookware or dishes on the shelves. Then we checked the dishwasher--it was full of dishes, which was great...but they hadn't been run. Not a deal-killer and it was late, so we ran the wash cycle and improvised. Then we found one of the trash cans didn't have a liner. Again, not a big deal, just inconvenient. Then we found the microwave turntable had old food and crumbs all over it. Gross, but could have been overlooked. Then the kleenex box gave up the last tissue and not a replacement in sight. Again, inconvenient, but not a big deal in and of itself. But when we finally prepared to go to bed and turned down the sheets, we stopped in our tracks. The linens had very obviously not been laundered or changed, housekeeping just re-made the very dirty, hairy and stained bedding. Disgusting. We called the front desk and the check-in clerk was very nice and apologetic, but all by herself with no support staff at all. However, she personally ran up fresh linens for us. We *****ped the bedding and re-made our own beds at 10:30pm, albeit with some apprehension about the pillows themselves, and made do. The front desk clerk said she'd leave a note for the manager to resolve this problem and said he would be there the next day. By noon we had not heard a word from the manager and so we went to the front desk personally and re-told the story directly to him. While he was polite, his response was incredibly benign and quite unhelpful. He even made mention that he'd heard similar complaints about other rooms! His sum total of a solution was ”I'll be sure to have some words with housekeeping. Thanks for letting me know about this.” Really!?!?! How about some words right now and getting housekeeping up to that room on the double and fixing the problem? How about offering to move us to another room? How about a discount for the dismal state of the room? I'm not a hotel manager but I can think of a dozen better ways to treat a guest than ”gee thanks, I'll talk to housekeeping and it sucks to be you, but enjoy your stay.” We're not confrontational people, and perhaps we should have asserted ourselves in a more robust manner, but given the manager's attitude, I don't think it would have mattered. However, we would be terribly remiss in not warning pot

GGuest UserI recently spent 2 nights here with friends. The location seemed odd to me, right in the middle of a shopping area, but it turned out to be a super convenient location. The staff were all friendly. The rooms and lobby were clean. The bed was comfortable. There were good options for breakfast. The omelet was excellent, as was the bacon. We were in town for a re-union of old friends. It was nice to be able to hang out in the lobby one night after dinner. Plenty of seating for good conversation. There were 2 things that keep me from giving a 5 rating. 1) One morning, when my friend and her daughter went down to breakfast, the bacon was gone and she asked if more was going to be brought out. She was told no. Once it's gone, it's gone. Mind you, she wasn't eating breakfast at 10:00 am. It was about 8:30 am. 2) The noise level in the rooms. I could hear noise from every room around me. Talking, the tv, moving of furniture (at least that's what it sounded like), etc. Not to mention the slamming of the doors. Not that people were slamming them intentionally. They're heavy doors and if you don't hold them when they close, they're very loud. My suggestion: bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Thankfully the second night wasn't as noisy as the first night. Overall, a great place to stay and I would stay here again. (with earplugs)

GGuest UserThe hotel is just OK. Not bad, not great. We had out 2 kids and 2 dogs, and were on a month-long roadie, so it fit the bill pricewise. The room had been updated not too long ago (but not too recent either). Location is excellent for visiting Garden of the Gods. And as I mentioned, they do allow dogs. Right next door to a Chik-Fil-A as well as a Family diner-style restaurant. One incident that kind of irked me I will share: it was late and I had some work to finish while my family was going to bed so I headed to the lobby. On my way over, there was a guy smoking right next to the door and my room was right next to the door as well, so his smoke outside wafted into my room (not cool), so I let the mgr know and she huffed like it was a big deal for her to stop what she was doing, but she did go talk to him. Then she comes back and the TV in the lobby is blaring some reality TV show where people argue and yell at each other, so I asked her politely, since nobody else was in the lobby, if she would turn down the volume SOME; her response (not joking) ”Yeah, Im watching that.” and then it dawned on her that maybe that wasnt waht she should have said, again huffed and said ”...but I can.” and then muted it. Was pretty shocked that she would tell a customer that, but again, not exactly Ritz Carlton White-Glove treatment expectations here. Other than that, the stay was fine. Breakfast was fine. Internet worked well. Beds were fairly comfortable. Room was large. Would likely stay here again.

GGuest UserI went to this Best Western with no reservation after leaving a travel lodge hotel that was in a dangerous area and poorly taken care of. The staffed welcomed me right away and applied my companies discount right away without me having to purchases the stay via our employee discount portal. Aside from that, This Best Western is right off the I-25. It was very easy to get to our destinations from the location. The staff was so wonderful going above and beyond to help with every little ask. I watched them be friendly like this to all the guests and it was impressive. The breakfast was nice with eggs, meats, pancakes, fruit, etc.. There were always drinks available for the guests such as coffee and real fruit/vegetable infused water. The rooms were impressive for the price point and we had no complaints. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high quality hotel with a budget friendly price range. Side note; I wouldn’t recommend staying any further south of this Best Western.

GGuest UserOn June 24th my family of 5 checked into the Super 8 on Chestnut Street. I booked this room through HotelPlanner and it was expensive. I do not recommend doing business with either company. Loud talking woke me up from sleeping at 10:40 pm. I waited for the talking to end, but it continued directly outside my hotel door. I went to the door and told the woman standing there that she woke me up and was disturbing our sleep. I thought she was a hotel guest. She proceeded to tell me that I was rude and needed to go back into my room, she was the front desk worker. I was appalled that this hotel employee was so disrespectful and unconcerned about my complaint. I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night. The morning of the 25th was equally difficult. I have requested a refund from HotelPlanner for the 25th because I could not spend one more night in a hotel that did not show hospitality and meet my safety needs. I have contacted HotelPlanner numerous times and I have not been contacted by a member of their management team. Thank you Trip Advisor for the opportunity to leave a review. The night of the 24th I screenshot the trip advisor score for this hotel and the following morning, the Super 8 had much higher reviews. My point is that these are not honorable business that are concerned with customer satisfaction. As such, they are not likely to survive.

GGuest UserI am absolutely horrified at the fact I stayed here. I saw it was very disgusting, and I figured my husband and I would stay and try it out, BIG MISTAKE. We got a room that I am very sure had mold, our bed sheets were old and most likely dirty. They look like they haven’t been washed in a long time, and there was tons of strains in the sheets. PLEASE do not stay here. There’s a super 8 and Motel 6 about a 5 min walk, much better option.

GGuest UserThere wasn’t even a trash can in the room. We had two queen beds, one was as hard as a rock the other was sunken in. No one is at the desk because there isn’t enough staff since they bounce between Super 8 & Days Inn across the street. There was loud music in the parking lot at 2am I had to call police about it & again at 5am music in the room next to us that same night. The internet was out the entire 5 day stay. No breakfast. The staff did their best with what they had. I need the company to take care of this place better. I’ve staid at amazing Super 8s before and this is not acceptable; especially for the price. Will not be coming back.
