Excellent service personnel throughout the hotel all the way from reception, restaurant , gym, pool and club lounge. You can see a very genuine smile with service delivered with pride and passion. A hotel I have been visiting for the last 10 yrs and I will continue to visit again.

Although we only spent 1 night at the hotel but we have a great experience staying there. We had a splendid sea view from our room, the service are awesome, thanks to reception staff, concierge and f&b team. They are so friendly and helpful, thumbs up for your hospitality. We had our dinner and breakfast buffet here as well. This hotel also served marvelous and delicious food. Overall i'll give 10 ⭐for this hotel. Last but not least this hotel is REPEATABLE and we will come back again.

The only hotel in DesignHotelsTM group in Borneo island! The lobby and room design, coffee, cocktail and food quality is probably the best you'll find in Sabah and its at par with Singapore standards. The hotel doesn't just give you the environment of a design hotel, great coffee, bespoke cocktails, delicious food but it also offers true Sabahian hospitality that you will not experience anywhere else. As soon as I arrived, one of the hotel owners personally came and greeted me and spend his time to give me a tour and explain the concept of the hotel and its design. The design of the hotel is influenced by different Sabahian landscapes and local craftsmanship depicted through contemporary means. Materials and craft is all sourced locally. I had the chance to meet both the owners and their hospitality was unprecedented. They took their time to get to know me and introduce Sabah and its culture. Something that you will not experience at big chain hotels. The LUMA is a brand new hotel group. There will always be room for improvement in their services. The willingness to improve is there and they listen if you have any complaints or needs.

We spent 3 nights at Gaya Island Resort and had a great time, I thought I would write a review because there are a few things worth considering before you go. Firstly, the place itself is amazing, the staff are super friendly and caring - probably the most professional I have ever experienced in my many years of travelling. So all in all it was a wonderful stay. The things worth noting are as follows: 1. The sunbeds, I think may have mentioned it and it's worth mentioning again - there are nowhere near enough. When you pay and arm and a leg to stay at a beautiful resort it is annoying that they haven't found a way to add more sunbeds. People get there early, throw on their towels and stay or disappear and the seat is gone for the day. This is a solvable issue and the resort should so something about it. 2. Check in is after 3 - could be later - and it's not flexible, so if you are arriving earlier be prepared to sit around waiting for your room. It would be nice if they could flex a little as waiting hours for a room without your bags is not a joy, but it is what it is. 3. Eating - you are on the resort, so you are eating in one of their restaurants - no other options available. There are a few restaurants so not really a problem (we did the hot pot restaurant and it was great), but good to be aware. By far the most expensive places we ate in Malaysia, but I guess given the quality of the resort it wasn't a surprise and the main restaurant is reasonable enough. 4. Activities - my wife and daughter did the cooking class and loved it, we did the night walk - which was fun and me and my son did the coral garden. The Coral garden was fun and I was lucky to see a big old shark. However there is a large amount of plastic floating on the surface of the water that is quite concerning and makes the whole place not feel so clean. The corals and fish look healthy so may be fine, but be prepared to swim through bottles and crisp bags to see the fish. The local resorts and local authorities should really work together to resolve and you pay the tourist tax, so not sure where that's going, but not to plastic clearance by the look of it. Hope that's helpful. all in all, it's a beautiful place to stay, could just do with a tweak here and there to make it even better

The service is great. The room is clean and well-equipped. The only difference is that the hot water is not too hot. Everything else is fine. I stayed here for two days and I am very satisfied. I will definitely choose this hotel next time.

The staff is very nice & efficient. We noted it’s a smoking room after check-in, and the staff arranged another non-smoking room for us as requested upon booking. The swimming pool locates on the rooftop, with a rooftop bar & restaurant. Located near the city center, close to lots of local food & restaurants.

I had a very amazing experiences in this hotel, the front desk staff was friendly and polite, the other staff also great in terms of greetings. They also prepared swans towel for me and my spouse for our anniversary month that I inform them in my booking. I just love it. Thankyou so much

However, what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff. I must make a special mention of one staff member whose name unfortunately escapes me. She mentioned that she has been a part of the hotel's team for the past 20 years, and her dedication to her work was palpable in every interaction we had with her. Her genuine friendliness, warmth, and professionalism enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression. I believe it would be wonderful if the hotel could consider acknowledging her dedication and exceptional service with a bonus or some form of recognition. Her commitment to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests like myself deserves commendation, and such gestures would not only serve as a token of appreciation but also motivate her and other staff members to continue delivering outstanding service. Overall, my experience at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing the hotel's hospitality once again. good for everything to me.. bagi yang ada orang tua sakit dan mengguna wheelchair, mudah sangat tak perlu risau, kerana ada luluan yg mudah nak tolak wheelchair naik ke lobi. nak grab pun mudah dekat dengan hospital (cheapest grab)
