"We experienced nice stay since we have met other people and made some friends :). Next to that, we love the location since it is near Haeundae beach and other major attractions of Busan. Since Busan is such a big city, we preferred to stay here to be close to the Luge, Busan X the Sky and the temple."

"Location: It's a bit out of the way, at the subway's last stop, but only two stations from Haeundae. The hostel is on the 11th floor of a building. It's about an 8-minute walk from the subway station, but if you're coming from Haeundae, there's a bus that stops right outside the building. Facilities: It consists of small capsules protected by individual password locks, so you don't have to worry about security. It gets very dark after turning off the lights at night, which is great for sleeping. Additionally, the common areas have many small cubicles and meeting rooms equipped with monitors (HDMI) and power outlets. There's even a pool table and a racing simulator (you can play GT7). The dining area (also a social space) is spacious enough with plenty of tables. The fitness center is also decent, with a good range of equipment. Check-in: Self-check-in is supported (you'll receive detailed instructions on your phone). Cleanliness: Generally clean, with a bit of dust in a few corners. The bathroom had a minor issue – no place to hang clothes, and the door isn't fully enclosed, so it felt a bit lacking in privacy. But since it's same-sex, it didn't really matter, haha. Towels are also available for self-pickup. Also, I recommend bringing your own slippers, as the ones provided are communal. Breakfast: Quite simple, just bread (can be toasted), milk, and a bunch of spreads. However, there's a kitchen that even has a rice cooker and an induction hob. Atmosphere: MVP of this trip! Super great social atmosphere, you can make a lot of friends (provided you know at least a little English – yes, just a little is enough). Plus, the owner regularly organizes various activities (you can scan the WhatsApp QR code on the common area tables; some are paid, but not expensive and definitely worth it). Cons: Storage space felt a bit insufficient; my 45L bag couldn't fit inside the capsule and had to be left outside (though there's CCTV, so it felt secure). Also, the racing simulator seemed to have some loose connections. PS: For privacy reasons, I won't be posting photos with my friends. It was great meeting everyone, even for just a few short days."

"The hotel has a great location which is a 3 minute walk from the Haeundae station Exit 5. The surroundings have a lot of food choices and the convenient store is also nearby. They have unlimited water, coffee and tea for the guests to enjoy. The disadvantage is the room cleaning service is only cleaning the trash and replacing the new towel, not changing the bedsheets and the last night did not provide new mineral water. They also do not have laundry service as well."

But the good thing is...I was the only one in the whole building when I checked in on Friday Lucky In addition, he belongs to an unmanned store I didn’t pay attention to the email myself So remember to contact the store the day before check-in about your arrival time."

"Overall, I had a great experience at this hostel. Rooms are soundproof enough that any noise outside didn't disturb me. There weren't many guests when I stayed there, but I had a few friendly chats with some of them. I had to work from midday until midnight and there was no table in the room so I stayed in the common area which had the most amazing view of the sea and the beach. The staff was mostly not there but they were friendly when we interacted and they let me check in early :) Things to improve: - it wasn't the cleanest. I wish I could vacuum myself at least because the floor upon my arrival wasn't very clean. also as soon as I turned on the AC I was starting to cough uncontrollably, almost choking on my coughs so I guess it hasn't been cleaned for a long time - in the evening they turn off all the lights in the common area so it's very dark and you can't see anything. I asked the staff to leave some lights for me because I had to work, but they just turned on one desktop lamp which wasn't doing much. I worked silently and didn't disturb anyone so I wish they could accommodate this easy request"

"Really nice place, clean tidy and nice kitchen and an art gallery. I won’t take points off but it has an odd policy that I wish the owners would address… No air conditioning between midnight and 11am… What is that about? Literally the only time I spent in the hostel was between these hours. It wasn’t terribly hot but it would have been a lot more comfortable if there was air conditioning during the night. Actually, I am going to lower my score. Don’t let this put you off though. One of the nicer places I’ve stayed on my travels."

"The location is absolutely fantastic! We walked to Haeundae every day for the past couple of days. This place is really cozy, with great attention to detail, very clean, and a very clear and practical layout. The washing machine and dryer are free to use, and the space is quite large – big thumbs up! There are also plenty of restrooms and bathrooms, and the kitchen is huge! A giant refrigerator too. You can even cook instant noodles here~ As soon as you enter, you'll see thoughtful touches like earplugs provided (these earplugs are amazing! You can barely hear anything with them on). Plus, it's self-check-in, and the password and check-in info were sent to us early via messages, which was super convenient and thoughtful! Just follow the house rules, and you're good to go~ The staff (or maybe the owner? Not sure, haha) was also very polite and handsome. Wishing them great success!"

My friend and I needed to book accommodation on short notice, so I ended up making a reservation after searching around! I was a little worried because there were no reviews, but when I went to drop off my luggage, the owner told me they had only been open for about a week. Since it hasn't been long since they opened, the facilities were really clean. They mentioned it was fully booked, but the soundproofing was so good that I slept soundly and comfortably! It was nice that pajamas and toothbrushes were provided, and they also serve breakfast in the mornings. It was great to be able to have a simple meal like toast, fruit, and cereal. There is a separate luggage storage area, but it isn't very spacious, so it might be a bit inconvenient to take things out and put them back in. Still, I was very satisfied overall, and the owner was very kind. I think I will visit again if I come to Busan next time! I recommend it!

The room was exactly like the picture! You can get a beautiful view of the Gwangalli beach and enjoy the sea breeze at the balcony. The location was great. Right below the property is a lively street filled with restaurants, cafes, bars, photo booth studios, game arcades, convenience stores etc. Luggage storage is available before check in and the host will send you the password for the digital lock on the day itself. The room size was just nice for two people. The only thing to note is that it can feel a little tight if you have two 28-inch suitcases fully opened at the same time, so we kept ours closed when not in use. However, considering the amazing location and stunning beach view, this was only a minor inconvenience.

The place was a bit dirty when we arrived, hair in the bathroom in the sink and some stains on the walls as well. Walls are extremely thin, you can hear people outside of your room and your neighbors enjoying their night. For the price I paid, I’m not going to complain. However, the workers were extremely nice, if you don’t mind the transportation time, I would recommend.

During my trip to Busan, I stayed at the Billy Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the bed was very cozy for resting after a full day of exploring the city. The bathroom was also clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, promptly answering our questions and assisting whenever needed. The hotel's location is very convenient, especially for visiting Nampo-dong, Jagalchi Market, and Bupyeong Kkangtong Market. There are many restaurants, shops, and convenience stores nearby, which made the stay even more practical. Public transport is also easy to use, allowing easy access to different areas and attractions in Busan. What I liked most was the great value for money. It's not a luxury hotel, but it offers a clean, comfortable, and practical stay at a reasonable price. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience and consider Billy Hotel a good option for travelers looking for affordable, comfortable, and well-located accommodation in Busan. If I return to the city in the future, I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

Checked in on June 24th. The lady at the front desk in the morning was incredibly helpful and attentive. We were able to store our luggage before check-in. Just a heads up, the hotel has a break from 9 AM to 11 AM. There are four coffee shops right outside the hotel and several aesthetic clinics nearby, all within walking distance, which is super convenient! The room itself was okay overall. The air conditioning seemed to be on constantly, but the window could be opened. Be careful, though, as there were mosquitoes. They provided an electric blanket, which made for a pretty good night's sleep. Given the excellent location and the price of only a few hundred NTD, the overall experience gets a huge boost!

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Elephant in Busan, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Located conveniently within the city, the hotel serves as a great base for travelers looking to explore Busan’s vibrant neighborhoods, beaches, and culinary spots. From check-in to check-out, my stay was smooth, and I found the hotel to be a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and character. Check-in & First Impressions: Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel. Room: I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area. The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value. Amenities & Services: While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it. Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything. Location: This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night. Staff & Hospitality: Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected. Overall Impression: Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.

I stayed here just a few days before, and chose to stay here yet again after coming back from an excursion to Busan. The self check-in process is smooth even after the check-in counter is closed at late night. Perfect location if you arrive into Seoul train station at midnight, either from Korail or airport train. Even if all metros lines are closed. You can just walk to the guesthouse within 10 mins from Seoul station. During the day, there is a metro station at your doorsteps connecting to Seoul Station in 1 stop. The room is clean and warm. The owner is very friendly.

I stayed here for an extended period with my wife and our 3- and 4-year-old children. There's a convenience store, a tonkatsu restaurant, and a pizza place nearby, so it was great for the kids. My family and I walked to the laundromat to do our laundry. It's a little far, but it's a good place to stop by on your way out for dinner.
