"The location is good as it is close to the downtown area. The building may be difficult to find at first glance. It was clean and the room was spacious for the price. The staff was also kind. You can see the whole view of Cairo from the rooftop.
The hotel is located in one part of a building, so you have to take an elevator to get to the entrance. The elevator is a different type than in Japan, so it's surprising at first, but it's fun to think of it as an experience. As the reviews said, I think this hotel can be recommended to Japanese people as well."

"The shower was also hot water and A / C was also attached, and it was very comfortable as a cheap dormitory.
It was not a two-stage bed, but a single, and it was well selected and there was no insect.
There was a drink shop in front of the hotel.
Needless to say, the biggest experience would be an elevator."

"The location is really central, right opposite the Egypt Museum and can be found easily on Uber. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the hospitality of the owners who were always willing to help and chat with us about what we needed or where we wanted to go. Very appreciative of them for that!
The room is comfortable enough with working AC and good size bathroom, but be prepared for the noise of traffic from outside as it’s close to a main road. Wifi also didn’t connect well in our room but maybe better for others. Breakfast is simple and more Egyptian/Arabic in style with pita, falafel, cheese and eggs + juice box."

The breakfast was amazing—beautifully served, and you could really see the dedication put into it. The entire hotel was spotless, and when I turned on the shower, I could smell the bleach, which reassured me of the high level of cleanliness. It’s also a very quiet place, perfect for a relaxing stay. One of the best parts is the convenience of having a mini fridge in the room and a Carrefour right next door. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Cairo!"

"The view of the museum is very good. The building has a classical design, very beautiful, and there is an antique iron elevator. I like antique buildings very much. This is an unexpected surprise for me when I live here. The only thing is that the entrance to the first floor is very scary, very dark and dirty, and it feels like an ancient castle exploration. I know that it is a public space, not a hotel. If it can be brightened, it will make people feel better at first.
The attitude of the staff is also a plus. The young guy is enthusiastic and polite.
The location is also very good.
The water heater is not hot, but the staff is very active in dealing with it. Although I came back a little late, I can still take a shower after it is dealt with.
Living on the fourth floor is not very new. The window could not be opened at the beginning, but it suddenly opened again the next day. The museum is very beautiful, but it’s a pity to leave in a hurry. Facing the road, there is a little car noise. Cairo likes to honk, but I have the habit of wearing earplugs and can fall asleep. My companions can also fall asleep without earplugs.
Although the breakfast is scheduled, I have to remind them to start it. It is also beautiful to be able to watch the museum and eat breakfast. The bread is delicious.
They have a new room on the fifth floor, which feels very good. They took us to visit the room. It is much newer than the fourth floor. You can look forward to it."

"When we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night."

GGuest UserWe booked a place to stay on short notice and when we arrived late at night the owner still greeted us warmly and introduced the facilities in the hostel. In addition to the beautiful interior and exterior design, the hostel also provides a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, stove, pots, etc. There is even a swimming pool in the backyard. The hostel has both single rooms and dormitories, but unlike the youth hostels I've stayed in before, this one has very high floors, probably more than four meters, so even the beds in dormitories are very comfortable, and you can stand completely on the upper and lower bunks. The girls' and boys' dormitories are on different floors, and there are special toilets and showers for women only, so girls will feel very safe if they stay there alone. The single room we stayed in was very spacious, fully equipped, and had a balcony with greenery visible from the window. Unlike all the other hotels I stayed in Egypt, the bedding provided by this hostel was very new and comfortable, which is really rare in Egypt. No matter the price of the hotels I stayed in before, even the hotels in Hurghada that cost thousands of dollars a night, the sheets and quilt covers were all pilling, worn and very rough. The hostel provides complete services. Free tea is provided in the public area. There are also many tables, chairs and sofas where you can lie down or sit at will. There are special staff to keep watch at night, so it is very safe. The sanitary conditions of the entire hostel are comparable to those of a five-star hotel. It is so neat and clean that it seems like you are not in Egypt... If necessary, the owner will provide a delicious and inexpensive breakfast, which is freshly made after you order. Because we had just come from the Black and White Desert, it was difficult to wash our clothes by hand, so the boss provided laundry and drying services. The price was unimaginably low, only a dozen yuan was needed to wash and dry a bunch of clothes. There is also a cute kitten in the hostel, and most of the guests staying at the hostel love playing with her. The hostel is in a great location, right in the city center, very close to the Egyptian National Museum, and convenient for dining and shopping. I rarely write reviews seriously, but this hostel is really the most comfortable and reassuring place I have stayed in Egypt.

GGuest UserThe first time I checked in, I felt that this hotel was very good and I was satisfied with everything. But the second time, it was full of problems. There were all kinds of problems with this hotel. First, because it was my second time staying at this hotel, I deliberately did not make a reservation in advance and went directly to the hotel to ask them the price. The hotel said the price for one night was 970 ebms, which shocked me. I checked the platform and found that the price for one night was only more than 400. Then I made a reservation on the platform, and the hotel staff was very unhappy. Second, my friend came to the hotel to visit me. As soon as he stepped into the door of the hotel, the hotel staff ran to me and said that I needed to pay 200 ebms because I brought a friend in. I said I was leaving soon and was not here. He said no, as soon as you come in, you must pay 200 ebms before you can leave. Fortunately, when I checked in, I told their staff that a friend would come to see me the next day, and he said OK, so I escaped. In summary, this hotel has many pitfalls. You must ask clearly when making a reservation, otherwise it is easy to fall into the trap.

GGuest UserRoom is in a good location close to Tahrir Square and Egyptian Museum. You will need to carry your luggage up the stairs for one floor after taking the lift (goes up to the sixth floor) which is something to note if you have heavy luggage. Room is basic but comfortable enough, would like to suggest putting more hooks in the toilet and more electrical outlets.

BBeckCastle Hotel is the best place to discover Cairo! It felt like home to me. I was in 8 different hotels in Cairo on my tour: castle hotel is my family and my choice no1 now. I know where to go to on future trips. Castle Hotel :) The hotel is located in the 16th floor, so you have the best view you can find. You can see so far. You can the city, the Nile, a little bit of a pyramid. Best traffic connection because ramses street. Shops 1 minute walk. Abu tarek koshari 5 minute walk, river Nile 5 minute walk. The staff is amazing. Friendly, always willing to help, welcoming, discrete. It’s a very nice vibe up there. The sounds of the city far away. Very relaxing. Next time I book an extra night just to enjoy the view. It’s just vibrant there and you feel the energy of the city. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for everything! See you!

Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine

Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

DDiazThe hotel is very simple, the stuff is very friendly and helpful, they gave me early check in.
We stayed 4 days they cleaned the room 2 times, we had to ask for toilet paper every time we needed it. The towels didn’t work very well (polyester), very noisy area, and we were in the first floor were you could hear what everybody in the forts floor were doing in the corridor, nobody controls noicy people.
