"Shangri-La Youth Hostel: An Absolutely Fantastic Experience! This hostel truly understands what travelers need! The location is unbeatable – it’s just a short walk to Dukezong Ancient City, and it feels incredibly safe returning after exploring the night views. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well-ventilated, with bedding that smells wonderfully fresh, as if sun-dried. The common areas are both cozy and impeccably tidy, and from outside, you can even catch glimpses of distant snow-capped mountains. The host is exceptionally welcoming and helpful; they not only went the extra mile to draw us a personalized hand-drawn guide but also offer electric bike rentals, perfect for exploring. It was heartwarming to see fellow travelers from all corners of the globe gather, chat, and share their stories over warm yak butter tea. This truly is the most authentic and heartwarming way to experience Shangri-La. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next trip!"

"I liked the hostel that i extended my stay. Even though its away from the old town. There's a bus stop on the main street and I would take a didi back when it's past 18:30. Some of the staff speak english so that was really helpful, the room was clean, they even upgraded me to a 2-room dorm which helped me relax from the trip. The WC area is spacious, it's great to have the water spray next to the toilet and heated seats are a plus. I found the laundry area with shoe cleaning machines very useful. They also have a restaurant/bar on-site in the lounge area and I really liked the food there, had three meals and it was delicious. Would definitely stay here again."

"I liked my stay here a lot. After doing the trekking, I found Tina's premises very confortable and clean. They served good meals at reasonable prices considering the location. The view from this is awsome as well. Finally, the staff girl who welcomed me was very friendly and helpful. Thumbs up 👍🏼"

"Great place to stay at Tiger leaping gorge, very clean, extremely beautiful view! It’s one of the top very highest houses in that mountain, so ideal to sleep and have a great view in the morning. The owner is very friendly, the wife cooks very well, very authentic with many different animals around (cow, pig, etc). If you are sportive then it’s ok for you to walk up as I did (3km up), otherwise you can arrange with the owner to pick you up by car I was there during the Chinese new year, and the family was EXTREMELY nice as they invited me to share the dinner with then, great experience !😊"
