We had a really amazing stay at jaguar reef. We had two villas for 7 ppl and the space really met our needs. The staff was exceptional, especially Steven at the main bar, captain larry, and Lucas at the dock bar. Those 3 dudes really made our stay amazing. They all gave great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The food at paddle house is SO good and I think I had about 15 ceviches from the dock bar :) the whole experience exceeded our expectations. Only minor qualm is the cleaning service was a little lacking but the staff quickly corrected it when I messaged them about it (Julio at the front desk was very helpful). Thanks again for a memorable and beautiful stay!

My husband and I went to celebrate our ten-year anniversary, and this location was recommended by my parents, who travel often. When I say this was everything, it was everything. The staff were superb. The attention and service were always above and beyond, even for random requests. Special shoutout to Shakaria, Melissa, and Julio, who greeted us and checked in with us each day and evening as part of the front desk/concierge staff. Our room was excellent, and the food was terrific; even as a walking vegan (aka vegetarian who only does dairy for ice cream, lol), I had so many options on their vegetarian, vegan menu, which is rare and also exciting because I could eat more than sides and the food was good. Our wait staff was also fantastic—Shoutout to Jason, Thomas, and Jerry. The icing on the cake for this place, of course, was the beach. They kept the beach emasculate, and Captian Larry made the experience fun and exciting in conversation and water activities. We have already started planning our 2025 trip back, and I can't wait! This place is where it's at, and it's all because of their staff! Best on the island ..you better Belize it!

We had a lovely stay in one of the oceanfront rooms, and particularly enjoyed the views and sounds of the ocean from our plunge pool and patio. We unknowingly came during Belize’s Independence Day and annual vacations/renovations so it was difficult to find places that were open to eat off resort, but fortunately the food on-site was excellent and even featured local favorite Nice Cream and good daily specials. The ceviche bar was such a cool place to hang out, and it was highly convenient to have our chosen tours pick us up right there on the dock. The resort is the perfect size— easy to get around but still has anything you would need. Staff were very kind and friendly, and although the golf cart rentals onsite were a little disorganized, it was a great, convenient option to get into town. As we rolled our suitcases to the front desk for checkout, we met the famous Captain Larry, who was off work for the duration of our stay but made an immediate impression with his warmth and kindness, picking a flower for me as a parting gift. We would definitely recommend The Lodge at Jaguar Reef as it combines the creature comforts of a very nice resort with the authenticity of a true Belizean experience from the surrounding community and natural attractions.

Captain ensures that even the little details such as flowers on ur towels near the pool make u feel special...... And ofc I can't leave out the mechilada mix Jerry made for my mom and I at the pool bar..... we thoroughly enjoyed it....Jaguar reef is definitely an experience you'll never forget and always dream of getting away back to again and again....

I have visited Jaguar Reef many times but this most recent time was for my wedding! Loved this resort so much I had to have my wedding there. All of the staff at Jaguar are very sweet and hardworking. They made sure to create the wedding of my dreams. Kimera did an awesome job with the set up of my wedding and was sure to capture every detail of my special day. The floral arrangements were stunning as well as the reception and ceremony! The food is delicious and the variety of cocktails they have available were great. Big shoutout to everyone at Jaguar for making this one of the most memorable trips in my life. I was also fortunate enough to be able to work with a local photographer, videographer, makeup artists, and DJ who all exceeded my expectations! I mean everyone was truly truly amazing. I am forever grateful to all of the work that was put in to my special day. Jaguar will always have a piece of my heart and I can say they have become a second family to me. Thank you Roberto, Kimera, and staff for making my wedding dream come to life. Much love to you all there and can’t wait to come back! I LOVE JAGUAR REEF! And shoutout to captain larry for his kind words and contagious smile. Really awesome time here♥️

I would give Jaguar Reef all the stars in the galaxy, and if for no reason other than the service. Don’t get me wrong, the resort itself is beautiful; complete with all of the amenities and creature comforts. But that’s not why I am certain we will be back. Andy, Jason, Sippy, Genesis, Jerry, and of course, CAPTAIN LARRY… they’re the reason we cannot wait to come back. They made an exotic, unfamiliar place feel like home. There is no better definition of hospitality.

The staff was fantastic! Constantly checking in and doing whatever they could (and more!) to make sure we were having a great time and well taken care of. Plenty of activities and a bunch of places to eat, drink, swim, relax and enjoy ourselves. Special thanks to Malcom and his entire team for bending over backwards to make sure our vacation was relaxing and enjoyable. Hope to be back in 2025!

Stayed at Jaguar Reef for a week in late June 2024. Beautiful suite, beautiful resort. Cool, clean, modern and well kept. Housekeeping was available whenever we asked and the front desk staff were great. As an aside, The Colonial and Almond adjoin Jaguar Reef - so common areas and pools shared amongst the three properties. Not a big deal at all, just interesting. Came with our family (2 kids: 14/11). Kids loved the big dock rope swing, parents loved the big dock ceviche. The pizza shop was pretty decent, as was paddle house. We ate at the paddle house a few times, but found ourselves at other nearby locations often as well. The staff was super friendly; Victor was our driver for one trip to the airport as well as the tour guide for our Myan ruins tour (make sure he takes you to Benny’s Kitchen- this was the best and most authentic meal we had during our stay). And seriously someone give captain Larry a raise- he is something special. We struggled to connect with the concierge a few times but overall they booked our transportation to and from the airport, as well as our Myan Ruins tour. A few things to note- the beach was not always the best looking - lots of ocean debris- from seaweed to trash. Nothing the resort could do, (although the debris seems to be just raked back into the water by each resort down the beach …an interesting yet relatively ineffective approach) but it’s just disheartening to see styrofoam/plastic sitting on the beach in such an amazing setting. Again; not the resorts fault, just a note about the area. As a family we could have used some “lawn games” shuffleboard, bacci, or even corn hole would have been great for the kids. We had a few minor issues with our suite which were promptly fixed, and did not impact us at all; just quirky little snags, handled with grace. We used the kayaks and paddle boards almost daily, borrowed the bikes once. We rented our golf carts from Scalawags for a couple of short excursions into town - we were encouraged to do so by the resort. And go to Fi We Mart- biggest and cleanest of all the local groceries; the resort also directed us to Happy Go Luckie tours for our scuba. Overall a great experience and we miss Belize already!
