Hotel San Marco

I had a horrible experience. I booked the Big Room with the terrace and lake view for the 4 of us: It was NOT FRONTAL VIEW of the lake, the master bedroom was NOT SEPARATED from the kitchen. The decoration was absolutely horrible, nothing to do with the white kitchen that was on the picture. Was so hot at night that we had to sleep with the windows open, when it was -3 outside. The beds and pillows where extremly uncomfortable, so we almost didn't sleep, was a lot of dust in the room. When I went to complain, they where super rude, almost screaming at me telling me that it was the same category than the one that I booked, no solution, I felt that they where stealing and lying to us. To be honest, you ruined our trip.

Our room was large with a big modern bathroom. Large screen TV with Netflix. Comfortable bed. Nice view from our private balcony over the lake. The location is good, alongside the lake with a nice restaurant on the other side of the road. Good breakfast is an extra charge. Car parking is available on the street, free overnight, or you can pay to park in the hotel car park.

NO customer care and support !   I booked this hotel for December holidays , unfortunately all flight where cancelled in Munich due to the extreme weather hence our travel plan / flights got cancelled. My booking with hotel was from  09 December and payment was deducted on 02 December . I request for cancellation and refund on 03 December before 06 days of booking and the very next day after they charge me but no support received from hotel side. I requested again and again as it’s a big amount but sadly they didn’t refund .   All the other hotel which I booked over Munich  and other locations cancelled and refunded me the amount as this is not cancelled internationally by me  its because  act of god or nature !!!!

This hotel is in a beautiful little resort a few kilometres from Fussen and the castles. The hotel overlooks a beautiful lake and although busy in the daytime, quiet at night. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and had one of the biggest baths I've ever used. We paid extra for a lake view. We could see the lake but only from a side view. We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs. Which did very nice food. The restaurant staff are also the ones who check you in. They are friendly and helpful. My only criticism was we were not told we were going to be charged to park in the garage. It was difficult to park it has about 8 tiny spaces, we didn't bump our car, but I expect many do trying to park here. If we had been told we were paying to use this garage, even though it was only a few euros, we would of chosen to park elsewhere in town. I would recommend this lovely hotel though, good value, in a beautiful location next to the lake.
