We had a fantastic first visit here for Sunday lunch. The food was fresh and home-cooked, with a delicious starter—brie wedges served with salad and red onion. The soup was also amazing! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were outstanding—so friendly and welcoming. We loved that they allow dogs, though we didn’t bring ours this time. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try .

Excellent visit to this establishment. Very welcoming, friendly and hospitable staff. The food was served fabulously hot and was so good. We will add this to our list of places we must revisit and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

The bed was amazing , large and comfortable. I would definitely question the 4* status as definitely some negitives, No blind on the large bathroom window over looking the road, fine when lights are off as has frosted glass not so much when lights are on. Couldn't turn off the radiator in the bathroom. Managed to turn off the one in the bedroom however the heat from the bathroom meant opening the window, road noises was very noticeable. The room was very clean 5* for that, however dated , in need of an update. Bathroom would benefit from a sliding door as incredibly tight. Staff very friendly couldn't have asked for better service. A few little tweaks and would recommend.

We had a fabulous stay at the Millstone. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect and parking easy in their large car park. Very dog friendly place to stay. Room was very clean and the food was great. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Millstone Inn. We went from Saturday until Sunday and had a great walk which started and ended at the pub The staff were really friendly, and have a good sense of humour. Dinner and breakfast was tasty, and the room was freshly decorated and comfortable.

We had an excellent stay at the Millstone, all the staff were so welcoming and attentive. Special mention to Harry for being so helpful and making the most amazing cocktails! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect for us. We would recommend the hotel to everyone

We stayed in Millstone Country Inn during December. The food and service was excellent, a home from home. Although the rooms could do with a lick of paint, I've rated as 5/5 as the stay was fantastic value for money. Thank you, we will be sure to return.

Two night stay on a groupon deal. Had a great stay. Inn is very welcoming with cosy fires and comfy chairs. Breakfast was included and was delicious and filling. Full English plus cereals, yoghurts, juices, hot beverage. Menu was good too with generous portions and plenty of choice. All of our selections were lovely. Room wasn't perfect but was perfectly adequate with great views of the countryside. The manageress and other staff were all very welcoming and accomodating. Large free carpark. Walks from the Inn are in some of the best areas of the peaks for walking. Also a short drive to Castleton to walk in the dark peaks. Would highly recommend and definitely go again. On the Fri eve we had an unexpected local band on. The place was packed and it made for a fab night.
