Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire
4.5/555 Reviews
Big disappointment given the high standard of the Four Seasons brand. The log fire shown in all the photos is in fact gas and is situated in the reception area, so not somewhere you can sit in peace reading a book as the doors are contantly opening and closing and attendant activity. The other log fire shown in the 'library' is usually jammed with folks come in for their cream teas, mostly non hotel guests.. so again unusable for much of the time. The pool and spa area was lovely, if not up to usual four seasons standards (IMO). Lots of very long corridors. Dining was dreadful. Food mediocre and small children running amok everywhere. would never return and not recommend. Grounds gorgeous.
Warbrook House Heritage Hotel

Hotel was huge, couple of things that really disturb me: 1. Toilet were old and it stinks of damp 2. There were no window to open for fresh air evening time it really gets hot the room needs fresh air to circulate, I had to open the doors to get fresh airs. 3. The most disturbing thing that occurred when there were cleaners and other stuff came in the room without knocking the door there were no display to put outside when the room was occupied I stayed there for 2 nights the stuff just gets in with their master keys. Very unprofessional. 4. There were no bottles of water at the table normally when I enter most hotels there was water but this one there were nothing. 5. Make sure you bring along your charger for your mobile, normally hotels have USB this days. Other then that receptionist was friendly to give her charger.
Basingstoke Country Hotel & Spa

Went to this hotel for family wedding, after reading other reviews I was not looking forward to my stay. I found the staff were friendly. The room we stayed in was clean the bed was comfy. I never heard any noise at night. The breakfast had plenty of choice. The problem we had while staying there the broken toilet seat that was not repaired. My son had booked a family room arrived with his three children at 11.30pm and found the room had one double bed and a single bed the only solution they were given was to squash two z beds into the small room because there were no other rooms,
The Elvetham Hotel
4.1/5102 Reviews
We attended an outdoor performance of Hamlet here over the summer, and thought to ourselves, “How is it we’ve never visited before? We drive past The Elvetham every week!” So, for our 21st wedding anniversary, we finally decided to stay for the night — and what a wonderful choice it was. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like celebrities. The staff made us feel incredibly special, and the grounds were simply stunning, perfect for a peaceful autumn afternoon stroll. Everything was beautifully maintained and full of history. It’s amazing to think that royalty once stayed here hundreds of years ago.
Highfield Park

We had a lovely afternoon tea today, a present from our daughter. We were greeted and shown to our table with a superb view overlooking Wellington Park. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were very tasty, the scones were warm and accompanied by jam and clotted cream. Tea and coffee were served with top-ups offered. The only thing to mention is that ours included a gin to start, advertised as a gin of our choice but it seemed that the only one on offer out of a plentiful selection was Gordon's. The young lady serving us was very helpful and exchanged this for a Prosecco and a beer. Taking everything into account we had a lovely unhurried afternoon in beautiful surroundings.
