"There were Japanese staff members, so even if you're not familiar with English, you could stay here with peace of mind. The bathroom facilities in the guest rooms were old and the toilets didn't have washlets, but it was a very good value hotel, close to Waikiki Beach."
"For the price point and the location you cannot beat it. In my opinion. I have not stayed at a smaller place. I just stick with a larger brand in which I know will have a certain level of quality. It's really not far from the beach. It's down a bit from the main shopping area but totally walkable. I think it's a great deal. I've stayed there twice now and I stayed in another place for nine days that's in the area and I would never go back to that one so the fact I keep going back is a very good sign that the value and the location Are great . My lifestyle as I go out and I have activities outside and I kinda use this as a base where I'd rest. I'm not dining there. I'm not really going to the shows. Maybe I'll use the pool. That said it's great it's comfortable it's clean."
"I booked this hotel three times between Ctrip and Qunar, because the price dropped the closer I got. The location of the hotel is indeed good, the room is large, the balcony has a good view, and it is very comfortable to use. Although the hotel is large, the elevator is very fast, and getting in and out is not as troublesome as some reviews said. The only inconvenience was that I checked out of the room that day, stored my luggage and went shopping. When I came back, I found that on the check-in floor on the second floor, all toilets required swiping a room card to enter, OMG. Later, I went to the change room where the third-floor swimming pool is located. There is no need to swipe the room card there.
It’s very close to Marugame Udon, a popular udon restaurant. The “Mai*” matcha ice cream next to it is also good. You can try the purple potato balls in Duke Lane. The local poke bowl is worth a try."
"Upon arrival, we paid extra to upgrade to a Tapa Penthouse ocean-view room. The ocean view was absolutely breathtaking, truly stunning! A big thank you to the Chinese-speaking lady at the front desk. The hotel was incredibly bustling with guests; most were Westerners, with very few Asian faces. It was a great opportunity to experience the relaxed and free-spirited vacation vibe of Westerners, definitely worth staying for a few days. However, if you're planning a longer stay, I'd recommend choosing a hotel with a microwave and drinking water available, as an 'Asian stomach' might not be able to handle Western cuisine for an extended period."
"This was the best value hotel we stayed at during our stay (we also stayed at Hawaiian Village and Aulani). Location, quality of service and amenities. Had enough to keep kids entertained without being as overwhelmingly busy at Hilton. Enough space to relax, the onsite beach is small but always empty. Fitness centre is big. Only issue was wifi connectivity - lacked solid connection in either the room or generally around the resort however the hotel kindly gave us a portable device for free which helped somewhat. Highlights included kids cinema and movie, pool tables and other free games and walking distance from downtown with some of the best restaurants (highly advised to book ahead)."
"It certainly does the job for a short trip. I stayed for two nights and was only there to sleep - I spent the daytime making the most of the extremely convenient location. All the amenities - the lounge area, bathrooms, WiFi - are fair enough. One concern I had was the lack of security - the lockers are pretty weak and can be pulled open pretty easily."
"The room is clean and relatively new compares to other hotels newby. Just that the hotel seems to be under construction during our stay with some noise in the afternoon, night time were fine thou."
"Title: Paradise on Waikiki Beach 🌴🌊
Staying at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa was an unforgettable experience! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the iconic Waikiki Beach, with stunning ocean views and easy access to shops, restaurants, and the vibrant nightlife of Honolulu.
My room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a balcony where I could watch the sunrise over the ocean. Waking up to the sound of the waves every morning felt like pure bliss.
The resort’s amenities were outstanding. The pools were clean and inviting, the fitness center was modern and well-maintained, and the spa offered truly relaxing treatments. Dining on-site was a delight—the breakfast buffet was fresh and varied, and the beachfront restaurants made every meal feel like a special occasion.
What really stood out was the warm aloha spirit from the staff. Every team member I met was friendly, attentive, and eager to make my stay perfect.
This resort combines luxury, comfort, and the magic of Hawaii in the best possible way. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy this slice of paradise again!"
"The room is relatively clean and has all the basic amenities.
Because I was going to the volcano, I didn't pay to upgrade the sea view at the front desk. There was only air conditioning outside the window without any view.
The hotel front desk 🈶 unlimited coffee and the staff were very friendly.
Hilo town is a relatively good place to stay."

Great
GGuest User- The hotel's location and surroundings are very good, such as location and access to the beach
- Good daily room cleanliness.
- Breakfast is provided, but the billed cost is considerable, so it is recommended to solve it outside other than once or twice.
-Valet parking and kindness were very good.
- When booking the hotel, it was announced that it was a trip to celebrate the 35th wedding anniversary, but there was no congratulatory message or consideration at all.

GGuest UserVery pleased with our stay! Excellent location beachfront. Beautiful views of Diamond Head Crater. Super excellent location to be in the middle of all shops, beaches and restaurants . Short walks to explore & enjoy up and down the streets and beaches! All staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Clean and well maintained. Great assistance with booking activities. My daughter took a surf lesson. Beachside conveniently had plenty of water activities to enjoy with an area to rent paddle boards , surf boards, floats, chairs & umbrellas. The restaurants inside the resort were excellent and convenient with outdoor seating and ocean views! ABC general store on lower level to shop for anything needed from drinks, snacks, beach towels, souvenirs, sunscreen etc…The resort also offers free activities that are on a schedule week by week, such as yoga, hula lessons, Lei & bracelet making, vow renewals & ukulele lessons! My 15yo daughter took a ukulele lesson, then shopped around and bought one to bring home!!! We have absolutely no complaints about our stay! Will absolutely be coming back in the future. Our flight home was a late evening flight & our check out time was 11:00am, so the bell hop service held our luggage for us so we could enjoy the rest of our last day on the beach. Then we decided to top off our last day to pamper ourselves with a spa treat, which is located on the top floor of the resort. I got a massage. My daughter got a facial. Afterwards we got to go to the outside roof top and enjoy the awesome view feeling refreshed & relaxed. I can go on and on about the positives of this vacation stay. There were no negative issues!

PPeipeipei12345678The room upgrade was great, and the view was genuinely lovely. My only complaint is that I was given a room right by the elevator again. The elevator noise was incredibly loud and frankly, unbearable.

GGuest UserIn the hotel's restaurant. We had to wait some considerable time to be attended to, we ended up seating ourselves, getting our own menus and water, whilst the sole server juggled his other responsibilities.
After a very ordinary fish & chips meal, with the thinnest fries we've ever seen we received a bill for the equivalent of AUD $90 to which not only had a 4% kitchen charge been added but additionally a further 18% service charge. Neither the meal or service justified this charge in any way. We left what we considered to be a fair and reasonable payment which more than covered the cost. For the AUD$ 75 cost we could have fed four people with a far better quality meal.
We had been unable to use our drinks voucher in the restaurant, so after the meal we went to the bar in the same hotel to use our vouchers to get a drink. Whilst there a very disgruntled server from the restaurant and some random woman from the bar came and accosted us, snatching a jam jar of tap water we had brought round with us to finish at the bar. We were basically accused of stealing a jam jar of tap water whilst sitting at a bar in the same hotel, as paying guests! A waiter from the restaurant hung around the entire time just to ensure he got his jam jar back!
Next morning we loaded our own cases onto the free shuttle bus. The driver tried to dismantle our cases, we asked him to leave our cases to allow space for other guests & we wanted them to stand in the luggage space adjacent to the rack, as they had done on the way to the hotel. The driver began shouting at us, threw a tantrum & went to get his boss, who came out & saw no issue with our cases. The driver then began driving recklessly, racing round corners and braking heavily. Guests had to tell him to slowdown and stop driving dangerously. He then made all the guests remove their own bags unassisted after we informed him his behaviour certainly did not warrant any tips!
A shocking & horrible end to our holiday & not a very good advertisement for the USA Dreadful tipping culture of entitlement even if service does not warrant it!

CCrystal Hunter LamOverall, the hotel is decent. Friendly staff. But, their air cons are relatively old, so do expect sound. If you’re light sleeper, do bring a pair of ear plugs!
인인생은 트립It's satisfactory for the price! The front desk staff is not professional, but it's still a good place to stay. I recommend it if you're considering the price.

GGuest UserIt was a room with a view of the diamond head and the sea.
I was a little worried about the height because I wanted a clear view of the sea, but I was satisfied with the Lanai overlooking the two without any problems.
It is old as a whole, the bathtub is old, and it takes time to get hot water.

GGuest UserThere is a main building and an annex, but the annex is really bad, and if you stay in the main building, the cost-effectiveness is really good! I stayed for 3 nights and stayed in the annex on the first day and was so depressed that I paid extra money to upgrade my room to the main building, and I was very satisfied! And it's very noisy because it's a downtown area, so take that into consideration! This is a picture of the bathroom when I stayed in the annex, but there was no ventilation and no lighting in the shower cubicle.. It was poor. Compare it with the pictures of the main building!
