for the positive .. clean, AC worked. shower had hot water after 5 minutes of running ... wifi does NOT work. supposedly it has been down for months. they have a back up Welkom Telecom, something like that. this does NOT work. then they gave me a portable hotspot. that did NOT work im sorry dont charge me $140 a night, if you cant deliver what you state. i told them not to clean my room. of course they did. and then on top of that, they threw out my melatonin gummies in the fridge for some reason. hotel of course does not have Do Not Disturb signs. so many other little things. in general the hotel is very dilapidated. in another ten years, this will be a coll dark tourism site.

This place is definitely not worth the money. The wifi is not easily accessible, some rooms are in the range of the hotspots, but others are not. The reception does not tell you the amount of internet is limited per guest, so if you do manage to get on the wifi, you might use up your quota and then have no internet (not pleasant when you arrive from a long trip somewhere where you don't know anyone). The safe in the room didn't work, the shower head was falling apart and it was difficult taking a shower. There was hot water only once (it's the tropics, how can the water not be warm?) otherwise cold showers, and then there were the cockroaches. If you don't kill them, they will come back, the same one! There is complimentary coffee in the room, tea and sugar, however the little box it is in is full of tiny ants, so you don't really want to use any of it. The pool is nice, maybe not clean enough, but decent. The hotel is located on a hillside, so there is a lot of going up and down, not convenient for luggage. I would not recommend this place at all

Would not recommend. Very run down, not well maintained. Pool closed for repairs. Beach very dirty in front of hotel. Did not enjoy the nights I stayed there. I was there January 2023, perhaps changes have been made since then. But at time of my stay was less than desirable. As well as very limited lousy wifi service

This hotel was chosen for us by a friend. The room was fine. It's old but it's Solomon Islands so it seemed to be in line with other non-resort places. We did not like having to climb up many steps to get to our room, but again, we did not choose the hotel. We only stayed one night so we did not use the pools but they looked nice. The French restaurant had delicious food. It cost us the equivalent of $78USD for 3 people for a full meal so that was very reasonable. We had breakfast at the smaller cafe and the food was also good. So the experience was good, except for the steps, which can't be helped.

The friendly and attentive attitude of the hotel employees is especially deserving of praise. They went above and beyond during my stay to accommodate my needs and make me feel at home. Their commitment to client happiness was obvious and greatly valued, whether it was in the form of transportation arrangements, area recommendations, or simply polite talks. My extended stay was made much more valuable by the hotel's amenities, like the pool and fitness facility. My nine-month stay at the Honiara Hotel was just fantastic, if I may add so. For making my stay at the Honiara Hotel so delightful, I would like to publicly thank the entire staff. With absolute conviction, I can say that the Honiara Hotel is a fantastic choice that far exceeds expectations.

This hotel is extremely run down. No drinking water in the rooms is provided, in a country where you can't drink the tap water- ***? . There is no wifi unless you purchase it, the climb up to the rooms is ridiculous- if you are over 50 forget it. The rooms themselves are very outdated, and the bed is the worst hotel bed I've EVER slept on- you can feel the springs in the mattress. There is no excuse for a hotel not to offer comfortable bedding. There is a kettle but no milk so unless you trudge off to the shops forget it. The television is about as big as a pc monitor and the tv reception awful- so forget that. Yes Honiara is a 3rd world country, but this hotel is not worth it compared to other options. When checking in I could see the filth behind the desk. The pool is the only nice thing about the hotel. The restaurants are expensive and you are not anywhere near any facilities. I am here for work but will advise I will not come again if I have to stay here.
