Karen (Li?) has been exceptionally helpful during our 2 visits.  It was our first time in Hong Kong, we don't know Cantonese, we had many questions, and Karen's recommendations for activities (food, shopping) were very good. We love the hotel and we strongly recommend to others. We will surely come again.

Really lovely hotel! Having tried other hotels in HK, this one definitely comes up at the top of my list and I will be staying here in the future when I come back. Great location in Wan Chai. MTR, shopping and great food is nearby. Central and Admiralty are a short walk away. For the price it’s great. The rooms are beautiful and so spacious! Not like other hotel sizes I’ve seen in HK which are normally cramped. The staff were really helpful too and kindly upgraded me to an amazing and cutely decorated room with a lovely view. I appreciate it, thank you. I’ll be back!

The hotel and its neighbourhood made our stay feels like home! Even we are from Hong Kong, just a getaway trip for the weekend. The location of the hotel is very convenient close to the MTR station, surrounded by many local restaurants and supermarket. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The gym is fantastic, opens 24-hours, with sea view. Good variety of the machines are available. Haven’t got chance to use the infinity pool but it looks cool! Love the “explore North Point” programme that allows visitors to follow the guide, trying some local food with the voucher. It was fun! As a hongkonger we had so much fun to explore and try new things! Would definitely visit again. Highly recommend this hotel for tourists!

Regrettably, our family endured a series of unpleasant stay during the New Year countdown at this apartment hotel. We deliberately chose this hotel for its renowned artistry and exceptional artistic offerings. With its esteemed status as a luxury hotel, our expectations were set high not only for the hotel's architectural and craftsmanship standards, but also for its service quality. Alas, our experience left much to be desired, as the hotel felt more like an apartment hotel rather than a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, the level of service provided fell well below our expectations. The check-in procedure was notably slow, and we waited nearly 50 minutes for our luggage before having to remind the staff. The duty manager exhibited a disappointing lack of professionalism and courtesy while addressing our inquiries regarding our booking. He drew incorrect conclusions from our outward appearance, causing us to feel offended. We noticed a lack of attention to detail, such as the inconveniently placed buttons for the curtains and blinds. For instance, the button to close the bathroom blind was inconveniently hidden inside the bathroom cabinet, it hard to find for the first time which we have to contact the staff for help. Also the shower door cannot close properly during our stay. Furthermore, we were surprised to discover that certain bathroom amenities came with an additional charge. The journey from the lobby to our hotel room proved to be quite perplexing for first-time guests. The process involved taking a lift to the 10th floor, navigating through the 10th-floor area, and then taking another lift to reach our room. The breakfast is served at level 10, the only cafe restaurant within this apartment. The breakfast is à la carte set menu instead of buffet style, priced at approximately $200 HK dollars per set. As one of the priciest hotels in Hong Kong, it is challenging to justify the steep costs associated with staying here. Other hotels in the vicinity offer superior views and service, such as the Regent and Peninsula. It is difficult to pinpoint any distinctive features or experiences that would validate the considerable expense.

The first place I stayed in was smelly of cigarettes. The lady who cleaned it was nice and tried her best to get rid of the smoke for me. But eventually, they gave me another room that was way better than the first. It wasn't their fault because the previous guest had been smoking in the room since it had a no-smoking sign. Overall, it was a decent stay except for the smelly room experience.

Booked a quadruple room for a family of four and I would say it’s value for money for the amount we paid, which included a nice breakfast. Location is convenient, helped by the regular free shuttle buses which go to either Hong Kong station or to Causeway Bay. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean with the daily housekeeping. Breakfast is really busy during peak hours but the staff are extremely patient and friendly to ensure all guests have an enjoyable meal. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends or even to fellow Singaporeans, because we love good vale hotel deals!

Stayed for one night at the end of our trip just to do something a little extra special. Was not let down in any aspect except for our bath plug didn’t work 100% so it was making a constant draining noise and took away the ability to relax. Ozone was exceptional and the best experience in the hotel, which was made extra special by the staff (especially the guest experience manager Adam) and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was the one area of the whole hotel that I felt you could really let your hair down and just be you!!

MMonica_ChiWe had a pleasant one-night stay at Royal Plaza Hotel as a family. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-located, making it a convenient base for our short trip. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we appreciated the high-quality amenities. The beds were comfortable, providing a relaxing environment for us to rest. The location is excellent, being directly connected to the MOKO shopping mall, which offered easy access to shopping and dining. The hotel’s proximity to public transport also made it easy to get around Hong Kong. However, one downside was the noisy air conditioning in our room, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably at times. The noise was a bit distracting, which took away from an otherwise pleasant stay. Additionally, while the hotel offers a lot of great features, we did feel it might not be the most kid-friendly option, as there weren’t many child-focused amenities or activities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and Royal Plaza Hotel is a solid choice for a family looking for a comfortable and convenient hotel. Just be aware of the aircon noise and consider other options if you're traveling with younger children.

EEdiGThe hotel positions itself as a 4-star establishment, but it falls short of that mark. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Location: The location is excellent, if you don't mind a steep uphill walk. However, the entire island is built on different levels, which isn't a negative but rather a positive – a daily workout! There's a bus stop right by the hotel, making it easy to reach the metro instead of walking up and down, straining your leg muscles. Next door is a botanical and zoological garden where you can take a stroll. By the way, entry is free. A 10-minute walk down the hill leads to the cable car ”tram” stop for a trip to Victoria Peak. Check-in: Check-in was fast, but a USD 300 deposit is required, which isn't mentioned on either the trip.com website or the hotel's website. If you need an adapter for your electronic devices, ask for one right away – the receptionist won't offer it. Room: The room is relatively clean, though I did find some hair in the kitchen and on the bedding. For Hong Kong, the room is spacious, but there's nowhere to store a suitcase. You can set the temperature on the air conditioner, but it doesn't work. It only blows cold air, making the room humid. Kitchen: The kitchen is minimally equipped, but it's sufficient. However, upon check-in, they warn you that the stove can only be used for reheating food, not cooking, as the fire alarm system is very sensitive and might activate the siren due to hot steam. You must turn on the exhaust fan to full power and the air conditioner to avoid triggering the alarm. Why bother having a kitchen at all? Bathroom: The same situation as with the kitchen – you need to close the door and turn on the air conditioner at full power while showering to avoid the fire alarm being triggered by steam from the bathroom. The shower hose started leaking on the second day of my stay. It was replaced with a new one, which also leaked. When the technician replaced the hose, did he check if the equipment was working properly? I doubt it. Breakfast: Breakfast is only served from a menu, which is quite limited. It's delicious, but not diverse. Is this the service you'd expect from a 4-star hotel? The breakfast organization is chaotic – staff running around and clanging dishes. Two slow coffee machines and one toaster keep guests waiting in line. By the way, there are plastic mugs for tea and coffee. The only fruit options are two types of apples – red and green. Service: The service is polite, but I'd say it's ”on demand.” You need to ask for shampoo, shower gel, and dishwashing liquid to be refilled. The housekeeping, for some reason, doesn't notice the need to replenish hygiene products in the bathroom and kitchen. Environmentalism: As in all of Hong Kong, they no longer provide water in plastic bottles. That's good, but come up with an alternative so guests don't have to go to the store for water. In my opinion, this environmental concern is simply an opportunity to reduce service costs while maintaining high accommodation prices. Speaking of breakfast again, the jam and butter are provided in small plastic containers, just like on airplanes. Is this really about caring for the environment? Conclusion: Overall, it's a good choice if you're not bothered by the minor service inconsistencies and if you don't have high expectations for a 4-star hotel. If you're visiting Hong Kong, I'd recommend Two MacDonell Road.

JJonathanThe Mongkok Holiday Inn Express is a short walk down Dundas Street from the Yau Ma Tei metro -- f you have heavy suitcases, you are better off getting a taxi from the Kowloon Airport Express station. I moved here because the prices at the Golden Mile Holiday Inn were climbing through the roof over Christmas, and the Mongkok Holiday Inn was almost half the price. Very friendly and accommodating staff, who looked after my luggage through several comings and goings, saving me almost another £100 on storage fees. Breakfast is a choice from a set menu rather than a buffet, but it was nice enough. I'll definitely stay here again.... in fact, I will stay here again the day after tomorrow!

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the airport. If you take the AirPort Express train to the Asia World Expo station, it’s maybe 3-5 minutes away by feet - it’s actually directly connected to the station so you don’t even have to go outside! They provide a shuttle to the airport every 15 minutes which is great. I think the ride lasts maybe 5 minutes? It’s very short, the airport is genuinely super close. The staff is very helpful. According to Hong Kong law, the hotels cannot distribute plastic water bottles so instead, each room gets a glass bottle that you can go refill whenever. There are several stations on each floor to do this. I thought this was a really good system. They have a bar with a very nice atmosphere. Many people are sitting there waiting for their late flights and the vibe was really good! It’s somewhat of a basic business hotel. It was nice and clean but I felt like it was nothing extra - for this reason, I thought the price was way too high. This was my only problem. However, we also need to remember that this is Hong Kong, so it won’t be cheap.

You cannot find any restaurant around the hotel but you can take the free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station and you can find foods seller there. The food price in hotel is acceptable for my breakfast dan dinner. The view from my room is awesome dan the room size is big. My room has a living room dan pantry with sink.

RRameezPThe location is great, there is a 7/11 right next door, there’s a mall about a 10 minute walk and the MTR is also a 10 minute walk (just straight up the road). There is also a cafe and restaurant on site. The hotel also has a shuttle that goes to the metro plaza daily. The room was good, clean and the size was good for a solo traveller. The staff were courteous but the house keeping staff were so lovely and friendly! I was ill the one day and stayed in my room and one came in and did her thing so softly and then left quietly again. I would definitely recommend!

FFeefa MLocation wise very good. Only 2 minutes walk from Islamic Canteen and Mosque. When we booked we didn’t know it’ll be that near so easy for us to find halal food and pray as well. Also about 10 minutes walk to Wan Chai Station. Our room is not very spacious however the price is okay for the room that fits our family of 4 as we chose family room. We mainly took public transport to go everywhere - Disneyland (40 mnt) , Ocean Park ( 20 minutes) , Victoria Peak + Peak Trams ( 25 minutes), ferry terminal to Macau only 10 minutes away and airport around 45 mnt to 1 hr depending on your exchange time. Overall we are satisfied with the hotel. As we will not be spending time inside the room so the price was okay for us with comfortable place to sleep.

MManta1Resort is an inflated term. Pool closed, spa closed, rooms are upstairs but there is no elevator so be ready to carry your bags. Small washer and dryer in the sauna room, outdated fitness equipment. Weird 'token' system for using the 'resort' things like washer or sauna.Interesting little game area downstairs, a couple kayaks and bikes to rent. Few real amenities that would make this a ”resort”. It's a decent hotel. The rooms are clean but the windows don't open so it gets very stuffy, the fridge froze everything and the bathroom is tiny and dated. My view was gross, so I kept the shade down. When the tide is out there is a beach, it is close to the ferry pier and a very pretty view when the construction is not going. The sun rises right in front of the hotel! Restaurant has a large menu for dinner, but only one choice for breakfast (set meal or nothing). What saves this place is the staff! They are wonderful, lovely people!
