Mingle Place At The Eden

Hotel is very basic but super convenient location wise. Bring your own amenities as govt not supports plastic, which is ok as long as you know ahead of time. Mattress is firm, which I like. Shower is nice and hot, water pressure good. Toilet bowl had some yellow stains. Room 403.

Convenient location and nicely priced for HK. An older hotel but it does the job for a short stay.

I had seen a few negative reviews about this place, so I was apprehensive at first, but was extremely happy with the establishment. Location was great, only a few minutes walk from the main train stations, rooms were tight, but very sufficient, good for Hong Kong, staff were very friendly and helpful, the bathroom facilities were also very good. If travelling back to Hong Kong, will definitely return here. The negative reviews I had seen were about size of the rooms, and noise from the city etc. Sure the rooms aren't as large as you would find in some suburban hotel in the USA, but for Hong Kong they were very sufficient. Air conditioning was very good, cranked up to coldest temperature and the highest fan setting felt like I was in a (lovely) blizzard compared to the heat and humidity outside. The noise levels were also very acceptable, city noise was no more than I would expect, and the noises from guests arriving late or getting up early was very minimal. The only really audible noise was from people in the hallways, but I have experienced this noise coming under the door from even super luxurious hotels, I normally dampen the sound by putting a towel against the door.

Keep coming back to Mingle Place at the Eden. once again staff and location provided just what needed for a 3 night stay. See you next time!

A box of a room, as advertised. The cleaner keeps it clean. What isn’t good is that they hardly have guests in this room, so it doesn’t get aired. It smelled sour and moldy when I arrived. There’s mold embedded in the grouting and you can’t move around in the shower. Bed is hard. Super central location. Tolerable if you are there for 1 night.

Arrived late had nowhere else to go, bed awful with plastic under sheeting. Needs refurbishing. Will try not to return.
