Alex checked us in and did his best to ignore us. The first words he said was “sign here” after around 10 minutes of no eye contact and silence. I spoke English and he only spoke Chinese back after that.
Washroom was not clean and had mold in the grout. The first time I used the shower, soap bubbles foamed up showing that it wasn’t rinsed. The knobs had soap and water marks
The room smelled like urine at times. The smell came from the vent. We could hear everything in the room above.
The chain lock was broken.

The hotel is very nice and better than what we’ve expected! The room is new seems like they just renovated. The size is not too big but not that small, you still have space to do makeup, open the luggage and etc. The location is also easy access to mtr.

Location is good, surrounded by great food spots and convenience stores within walking distance. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable layout. Highly recommend this place for its convenience, comfort, and affordability

The Alexandra is conveniently located and we had treat harbour view. The room was a good size and lacked nothing. The staff were keen to please. We were able to leave luggage will we went on a trip outside Hong Kong. We eat locally and not in the hotel. Some times a bit of a wait for a lift. We will stay at the Alexandra the next time visit Hong Kong.

I’ve been here a dozen of times for work, however. No matter how early or by request for a 1 single bed room. There will be always so much trouble. I can’t believe a day or a week by advance request will still be offered a twin single bed room.
Also, during this trip. There room had an awful mould odour which was absolutely terrible.
I’m so thankful to the reception assisting me into changing rooms so I could sleep.
I rarely write so much, but the one single bed issue is a big problem for travelers who wants a single bed while travelling with a companion. You will always be offered to sleep separately. What sense is that?

The exterior of the hotel is nice, feels very royal. But!
It was a bit underwhelming not to find any drinking water, soap, toothbrush provided.
The pillows smelled odd and it’s just really humid in the room.
