Unbeatable sea view, and it's super convenient with the Yijingwan Commercial Plaza downstairs for dining and shopping. The IKEA supermarket is very well-stocked. The room was comfortable, and the sea view room was absolutely amazing. The service was excellent, especially LEO at the front desk, who was super nice, provided great service, showed a personal touch, handled things flexibly, and was also very handsome. It was a truly stellar service experience!

Completely exceeded my expectations! The room was incredibly spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning ocean views. The bathroom was the largest I've ever encountered in a Hong Kong hotel; I could even enjoy the sea view while soaking in the tub. There were three of us, two adults and one child, and the two beds were perfect. My favorite part was the seaside garden right outside the hotel, where many expats were walking their dogs and jogging. If you want to swim, there's a pool on the second floor of the hotel, and on the same floor, there's a play area for kids. It was so convenient to swim and then pick up the kids afterward. There's also a ferry nearby that goes to Central Pier on Hong Kong Island, as shown in the pictures with the schedule.

Discovery Bay has a great environment, and this is the only hotel on the island. It's located on the north side, and with the hotel's shuttle buses to various routes, transportation becomes quite convenient. The hotel hallways had a musty smell, but the room itself was fine. The room was spacious, and the view was lovely. The seafood buffet in the evening was also quite good, and the gym was decent.

The hotel management is chaotic, with two serious disputes in two days, and absolutely no apology throughout, which is utterly infuriating. Let's start with check-in. The hotel officially states check-out at 11 AM and check-in at 3 PM. Understanding that cleaning takes time, we arrived at 2 PM, expecting a short wait. However, the front desk told us the room wasn't ready and made us wait indefinitely. We approached them three times during this period, and each time we were brushed off without a definite time. It wasn't until 4 PM, when we lost our patience and had a heated argument with the front desk, that they finally assigned us a room – a full two-hour wait, far exceeding the stated policy. Even more outrageous was the Disney shuttle incident the next day. The shuttle was scheduled for 9 AM. Worried about not getting a seat, we arrived 15 minutes early at 8:45 AM, placing us at the very front of the line, and thus, we should have been the first to board. However, as we were about to get on, the driver immediately stopped us and rudely stated, "You can't board without a reservation." I promptly explained that because I saw a small line on the shuttle schedule mentioning reservations, and to be safe, I had specifically emailed the hotel for confirmation half a month prior. The official hotel email clearly replied, "No reservation needed, all guests can use it for free." The driver, with a look of disdain, completely disbelieved my explanation and coldly told me to find the email as proof. I stood at the car door and scrolled for a full five minutes until I found the email and showed it to him – it clearly stated 'no reservation needed, free for guests' in black and white. To my surprise, the driver not only didn't acknowledge it but frantically scrolled down the screen to the shuttle schedule attached at the bottom of the email, pointing to that small line and saying, "It says here a reservation is required." I re-emphasized that it was precisely because of this ambiguous small print that I had specifically emailed for confirmation, and the official reply was the final word – but the driver still ignored me and insisted on not letting us board. Helpless, I returned to the hotel lobby and sought help from someone who seemed like a duty manager. This manager also had a poor attitude, and his first reaction was to disbelieve me and demand to see the email. After he saw the email content and confirmed we were in the right, he didn't offer a single apology, not even a basic "I'm sorry." Instead, he immediately took out his phone to take a picture, saying he would hold the customer service representative who replied to the email accountable. From beginning to end, his concern was only about internal accountability, not about consoling us or apologizing for the unfair treatment we received. Although we were eventually allowed to board the shuttle, the driver himself couldn't help but complain, saying that the hotel management is constantly chaotic, and guests who reserve often get overlooked, leading to them being unable to board. He mentioned such complaints are common – indicating a deep-seated problem. Two arguments in two days, each one exposing the hotel's complete lack of service awareness, lack of procedural standards, and even more, a lack of sincerity in admitting mistakes. What should have been a relaxing vacation was utterly ruined by this ordeal, leaving me exhausted. This level of management is both laughable and deeply disappointing. I do not recommend choosing this hotel.
