City HK Guest House

Chungking Mansion at Tsim Sha Tsui is very convenient to free tourist destinations and to shops, malls, restaurants and buses. The staffs at the reception desk were kind and nice, answer questions and reply to emails and concerns. The 24/7 reception helped us check in late, after midnight. However, the building is old, you can smell rusts, the elevator to the guest room is sometimes busy esp at peak hour, there is only one elevator to the room, the other one is going to the reception, so there were times we had to use the stairs from the 6th floor esp when we’re in a hurry. Overall, the guest house and room itself was small but clean and just enough space to sleep and rest.

Very nice hostel; the service, facilities, and the location is near the city centre. Sherry is a wonderful host. The room has a mini fridge! Xd

Dillon group hotels is one of a kind. Good location, very clean rooms, sheats always smell fresh, and staff great. Will keep coming back. Kudos to you😊🙏🏾👌🏽

THEIR PHOTOS DON'T CONNECT WITH REALITY! Nice location but it's the first and the past advantage of this hotel. If you want to feel smell of curry, touch to dust and dirt - welcome. Cocroaches/aunts will become your friends here. There aren't something things except bed (no chair, no table, no teapot, to towels). Dirty window, which was half out of the frame and wouldn't close completely. I really afraid to touch something in the bathroom, all there was dirty. Man from reception tried to cheat us when we checked it: he asked us to pay extra money (something dreaming fees not included to paying in trip.com). I don't recommend this hotel

This hostel is located in ChungKing mansion which contains lots of other hostels. This hotel operator has about 10 other hostel brands, So although I booked CityHK I stayed at Germany in Room 629. Germany is located on 6th floor so you are not too far up (ChungKing mansions has 17 floors) and you can walk down and not have to wait for the lifts which can take up to 20 minutes. Stairs can be dirty w. one or two cockroaches and very rarely you may see a rat, but they are not dangerous. Hostel itself is very clean and cleaner comes round every day to clean it. You can ask her to clean your room if you want and they do a good job. My room was small but had a window and there was nowhere for cockroaches to hide. So if you find one you can get rid of it from your room. Best to put something under your door to make sure nothing crawls in during the night when you sleep.
