This is the definition of a budget room in Hong Kong: very, very, VERY small, the shower is above the toilets, and the bed can feel a bit small if you're 1.80 meter tall or above. The guesthouse is located on the 7th floor of the notorious yet fascinating Chungking Mansion Building (If you haven't heard about it, Google it). Having said that, the employees were extremely kind and helpful, and offered an even better price when we asked in person to extend for 2 extra nights.

Location is convenient. I was a little skeptical of the place at first being it's my first time booking at hostel or homestay. The crowd downstairs was a little overwhelming as they will try to get your attention to book or stay at their place.
The lady who greeted us was all smiles. The first room they assigned us didn't have a window and she was kind enough to let us move to another room with one.

It was an interesting experience to stay a few nights in this famous building and i‘m somehow glad that i did that as an experience but i definitely wouldn‘t do it again. the room was really expensive in comparison what it offered. it was quite difficult to find and i couldn‘t sleep well because the people were super loud and there was no fresh air coming through the tiny windows and the view made me feel like i don’t even want to breath that air from outside.
the workers are friendly and the people working and living in the mansion are unbothered by tourists. you don‘t need to worry about danger or anything.
the location is in a really nice area with many things to explore and good restaurants around.
the room was not too dirty but also didn’t feel really clean to me. if you‘re alone and stay for one adventurous night it’s okay. otherwise i wouldn‘t recommend to stay there

During the second morning of my stay I found a dying cockroach in my room. The staff came to deal with it immediately, assured me that there are no cockroaches in the hotel and that is due to the humidity. They then applied these tablets to the bottom door so that more do not come. The staff was nice. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We had a great time, it was very very clean and comfortable. The location is also great, it is a bit far from the city center but very easily reachable with the metro!

Area felt very unsafe as a solo female traveller. Groups of men outside the entrance trying to pressure people into their hostels/guesthouses. The entrance area felt extremely unsafe at night especially. Very dirty and would not recommend. Reception was friendly and helpful.
