Very private location, lake and river views, gated parking by the beach, and beautiful sunsets over the lake.Minimum 7 Night Stay in June, July, August, & September. Saturday to Saturday. Amazing location on two bodies of water: Lake Michigan and the Crystal River. Incredible sunset views from the deck -overlooking the River, Lake Michigan, the Manitou Islands, and Sleeping Bear Point. Tube, kayak or SUP on the Crystal River all the way out to Lake Michigan! Walk the beach, stroll along the riverbank, or walk the boardwalk which stretches for blocks, just outside the condo building. Hike or bike the nearby paved Heritage Bike Trail to scenic Northern Michigan destinations.In the winter you can enjoy the Homestead Resort ski hill for downhill excitement! Or explore the National Shoreline on cross country skis and snowshoes! There are miles of trails inside the Resort and more just a short drive away.The condo is Heated and Air Conditioned. It has 2 wall mounted 4K TV's, and new high speed internet access. The condo has Newly Renovated one full bath with a walk-in shower (no bathtub), a Newly Renovated Kitchen complete with dishes, silverware, basic cooking utensils, glasses, Keurig coffee maker, pots/pans, microwave, stove, Full Size refrigerator (NOTE: there is no dishwasher in this unit). A drop leaf dining table will seat up to 4 people.A coin operated washer & dryer are located in the common area on the ground floor of the condominium building. There is a gas grill on property for use by condo guests.This privately owned unit is nestled on the water in a discreetly gated property. No public check in required. The unit is on the second floor of the building and is not handicap accessible.Note: Although the condo is located inside the Homestead Resort, it is not a resort-owned property, it is privately owned. The Homestead Resort Pools and Tennis Courts are not available for use. There are public tennis courts in Glen Arbor (just minutes down the road). The Homestead resort has been enjoyed by families for years and is located in the heart of Leelanau County, Michigan. The resort has a beautiful stretch of Lake Michigan beach. The Crystal River flows through the property and offers a wide array of sporting activities. It is located near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park Enjoy nearby shopping, informal and fine dining, wineries, galleries, concerts, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, biking, golf, fantastic sunsets from the deck and more.The condo is located on 260 foot bluff overlooking Lake Michigan with a beautiful view of Sleeping Bear Dunes and North and S. Manitou Islands (Ridgetop 23 & 24). The condominium is located on the second floor, end unit, cathedral ceilings, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, whirlpool tub, 1 fireplace, deck, sleeps 6, 2 queen-size beds & sofa bed, 3 flat screen TV’s, Cable TV, Internet Wi-Fi, & washer & dryer. The remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops, is fully equipped. We do not provide beach club or pool access at the Homestead, beach towels or bikes. ATTN: AIR CONDITIONING. We rent for a 7 night minimum: Saturday to Saturday, during May 24 and September 27, 3 night minimum during the holiday season, and 2 night minimum during the rest of the year.Additional information related to this condo: The main attraction of the areas is Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park. The park has miles of hiking trails through the woods, meadows, sand dunes and shoreline. Some of the favorites include Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive with high overlooks of Lake Michigan and Glen Lakes, Sleeping Bear Dune Climb, Pyramid Point, Empire Bluffs trails, North Bar Lake, Platte River Canoeing and Tubing, Bay View Trail, and North Bar Lake. There are a number of golf courses and many wineries in the area. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail offers Biking, hiking, bird watching and cross country skiing Summer fun begins on the shores of Lake Michigan and through groomed hiking trails throughout the Leelanau Peninsula. Fall brings quietness and is a perfect time to enjoy the beautiful color foliage by viewing the scenic hills or walking though any of the groomed trails. Winter fun begins on the down-hill slopes or cross- country trails. The condominium is walking distance to downhill skiing at the Homestead. Location is perfect for easy access to everything the area has to offer!THE SPACE:This ground-level condo is a part of the Hawks Nest community at the Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor. It's the perfect place to stay, right in the heart of northern Michigan's all-season playground. Everything in the condo is brand new as it was just renovated in 2023. Lounge in the family room with plenty of comfortable seating, or enjoy a relaxing evening on the screened-in porch listening to the waves of Lake Michigan. The kitchen has new appliances and is stocked with everything you'll need to cook a gourmet meal. Enjoy fresh coffee in the morning using the Keurig or French press. The living room is furnished with stylish and comfortable furniture, and a Smart TV with cable and all your favorite streaming apps. All you have to do is log into your accounts. Both bedrooms are located downstairs and will provide you with a wonderful nights sleep on brand new mattresses, and crisp comfortable sheets. This condo will sleep a maximum of 6 guests with 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Please note that although we can accommodate up to 6 guests, our unit is cozy and it will be quite tight for any more than 4 adults. The fully equipped bathrooms (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs) have everything you need: soft fluffy towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and a hair dryer.If you plan on heading to the beach or enjoying other outdoor activities, we have an outdoor "Ski Closet" that can be used for storing your adventure equipment, coolers, beach chairs, etc. We kindly ask that you DO NOT store these items inside the condo.THINGS TO KNOW:- No A/C, but enjoy cool evening breezes coming off the lake. We have a dehumidifier and offer fans in each room for air circulation.- No washer/dryer, but we do offer a clothes drying rack and an iron with ironing board.- The condo uses electric heat, and heat registers are very hot to the touch when in use.- For safety reasons, fireplace is non-functioning.GUEST ACCESS: **NO HOMESTEAD BEACH CLUB ACCESS**As our guest you will have the condo all to yourself. There is unassigned parking available next to the condo, however, it is first come first serve. If you have multiple vehicles, there is also additional parking near the main Homestead entrance.
