First off...I thought we were booking next door: the one that looks like little huts and all cute and stuff......NOPE. Anyway: Resort was fine...upset that Wyndhams are just so so...we traveled to other resorts on Kona: all on the beach and beautiful. Our #1 complaint here: EVERY DAY WE WERE CALLED TO ATTEND THIS UPDATE...EVEN BULLIED "Your account is flagged....it'll be really hard for you to do any further bookings". So I asked "So you're telling me that they can take away my ownership and not let me book anything if I don't attend this????"... She states: "Your account has been flagged, and that's why they reached out to you before you came so yes"....I repeated myself: "FIRST OF ALL...NOBODY REACHED OUT TO ME ABOUT ANYTHING....BUT YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT I PAID CASH FOR THIS OWNERSHIP....YEARS AGO....AND THEY WON'T LET ME BOOK ANYTHING ELSE NOW IF I DON'T ATTEND THIS????" She said "You need to come, or you won't be able to book anything else"....I said "WELL, THEN I'LL CALL CORPORATE AND TELL THEM THAT I WANT TO SELL IT BECAUSE THIS IS ABSOLUTE BULLS#$%!!! I OWN THIS!!!" and I hung up. We brought our granddaughter on vacation. She's a teen. She suggested we leave her alone in the room to attend!!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!! EVERY DAY to be hounded to attend!! If we wanted to attend: we would. When we go on vacation: we go on vacation to go on vacation...NOT to attend any more meetings. This trip has made us rethink our ownership and our now looking into Hilton vacation club instead. VERY UNHAPPY!!!!!

WARNING TO MEMBERS!!!!!!!! So….. Worldmark Owners….BE WARNED!!! CAUTION!!!! If you go to a yearly update meeting, and the sales rep AND the sales manager tells you that, “if you buy the Club Wyndham Discovery package, it will be considered a “qualifying event” to get you into the Worldmark Travel and Leisure”, THEY ARE MISLEADING YOU!!!!! IT IS ALL LIES! What they told us at Kona, Worldmark, in their sales office, is that “If you buy the Club Wyndham Discovery Package (for $4000), you will be in the Travel and Leisure and you will be getting your info about that sent to you in the fall of 2024.” We asked them to write it down and they replied, “I am telling you that this is a qualifying event and you don’t need to worry about that.” Then the very next day, we went back to the same sales rep and sales manager and said, “we are very unsure about how this all works. And asked, again, if it is for sure a qualifying event that would allow us to use our Worldmark credits in the Travel and Leisure”. And again, the manager at Kona Worldmark Sales Office, said, “absolutely yes! It is a qualifying event to get you into Worldmark Travel and Leisure and you can use your Worldmark credits to access Travel and Leisure. And further said, “why are you so concerned about this? You need to just go enjoy the rest of your vacation!” So we foolishly believed him. Fast forward a few months, to a phone call from some sales lady with Worldmark who called to try to sell us points/credits to get into Travel and Leisure. We argued that we are already in Travel and Leisure. She told us we are not. So we immediately contacted Kona Worldmark and basically got the run around. The sales manager never called us back. He told the sales rep to tell us that he sent this up the chain of command. So again, we waited. And finally someone called to say they are working on our case. Well that was a month or so ago. Today, the investigator called and said, they are closing the case for “lack of evidence”!!!!!! WE ARE NOW GOING TO GET A LAWYER! There were 3 people that heard these words come out of that managers mouth. My husband and I and the Wyndham Sales Rep in the worldmark office in Kona. We have been long time members of Worldmark and This is not okay!!!! After my husband asked the investigator from Wyndham, she said she didn’t even contact any of the employees to ask them about this! Her reason is because we didn’t get the Travel and Leisure qualifying event in writing. We were 100% mislead!!!! We went back the 2nd day and they lied again to us! How in the hell is this our fault?????!!!!! Lawsuit coming! Have they done this to anyone else? I would love to hear from you. PM Me ASAP!

Even though not beach front I Highly recommended it. Nice staff, Great location, quiet nights. All amenities are there for family necessities like washer dryer with detergent provided and dishwasher as well. Coffee provided was great every morning. There is free transportation to town provided by the city that passes in front of the resort every 45 minutes goes as far as Target if needed.

This was our first stay at the WorldMark Kona. It is the smallest WorldMark resort that we have stayed at. The "resort" is kind of an ugly brown box on Alii Drive with a second ugly brown box to the rear, about 1.5 to 2 miles south of downtown Kailua-Kona, on the other side of the street away from the ocean. Private houses block a view of the ocean. We had a ground floor two bedroom, two bathroom unit in the back building. A queen bed was in the master, with two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a comfortable Murphy queen bed in the entrance hall area. The bathrooms were pretty basic. Our unit was quiet with a deck overlooking the pool/spa area between the two buildings. Alii Drive is pretty busy and the units in the front building may get more noise. We could easily walk to a very rocky beach to watch the sunsets, but the nearest restaurants or bars (Huggo's and Don the Beachcomber) were a long walk away (just over a 1/2 mile away). Most of Alii Drive has no sidewalk, but sufficient shoulder area to walk on. You needed to drive the car to get to a decent beach or buy groceries. A new Safeway superstore is approximately 2 miles away and a large KTA is about 5 miles away. Everything in the unit was in good working order, although the air conditioners ran full blast (unless the sliding glass door to the patio was open) and we had difficulty figuring out how to turn them down. We saw nothing in the unit or the exterior that needed attention or repair. The BBQ area was convenient, just outside the pool/spa area between the two buildings. The three BBQs were cleaned regularly and always worked fine (we used one most evenings). The living room and each bedroom had modern flat screen televisions. Since we purchased our WorldMark points on the resale market there was a modest charge for WiFi service, which worked fine for both mobile telephones and our laptop computer. The number of parking spaces at the resort was sufficient for the number of guests, but most spaces are on the small side. The spaces are fine for a subcompact, but we had a full-sized vehicle and there were only two spaces in the rear parking area that were adequate for such a large vehicle. Overall, had a good stay and the relative lack of pressure to attend an "owners' update" was nice.

Our room was freshly remodeled and clean. Our 18 days here made us feel like we were home. The location is amazing. 5 minutes walk to the beach. 10 Minutes to Humpy's. Sunsets are amazing! Check in was pleasant and easy. Front desk staff was very nice and responsive. All of the grounds crew and housekeeping staff were very professional and friendly. Best of all the BEDS were amazingly comfortable.

My parents have had Worldmark as long as I can remember so sometimes my partner and I travel with them as all adults or we use my parents’ points for trips with the (now teenage) kids. That means we’ve been to many WM. Candidly, this is not our preferred method of travel - probably because all WMs are all fine but not special, including usually having fine but not special locations and amenities. This one was fine. All units face the pool so can be loud. They limit wifi to 2 devices which is cheap and also not acceptable for a 2br unit, which we had. We had to do some remote work and my dad is obsessed with getting on wifi so it creates an annoyance. Front desk staff was a bit surly and not really accommodating. They no longer offer refresh service even if requested, which is pretty bad for anything over a one week stay (I didn’t ask, but I assume they’d use covid as an excuse, however if a guest wants cleaning during an extended stay it should be offered at least once a week - I don’t expect to have to deep clean and change sheets myself on vacation). The kitchen has small roaches (not from us - they were there day 1). But the decor seems to have been recently refreshed, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the location is walking distance to plenty of waterfront places so you can easily escape and get somewhere better. My parents love this place because of the weather. We probably won’t join them again anytime soon.

This condo is in a great location. Most everything is on Alii Drive which is a close walk (providing you are able to walk that far). We all 4 are seniors so walking was not an option. The unit was newly remodeled and was clean and nice. My only draw back is it could use a few more cooking skillet/pans. Also, more bowls would be nice. The parking is great, and the front desk people (especially Tina) was very friendly and nice. We didn't have maid service for our 15 days stay, however, anytime we wanted clean towels we called the front desk, placed our used ones by the front door and they delivered them almost immediately. I would highly recommend this condo.

We had 3 x 2 bedroom suites for our whole family. Even though they knew we were traveling together, no effort was made to put us close, one of our group was not even in the same building! The elevator definitely needs servicing and cleaning. Other than that, this is a typical Worldmark property. Kitchens are fully stocked and it is convenient to have the option of having breakfast or dinner at "home". Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. We had a 6 and 4 year olds with us and they loved the pool which is clean and well maintained. We had a large minivan and parking was easy and plentiful.
