The Tollgate Inn

We stayed in the separate converted barn, as you walk through its little private courtyard garden and into the property you are greeted with a light airy and spacious property. The kitchen is well stocked and we’re comfortably able to make meals in the property. We did have a problem where the fridge broke down and both housekeeping and Brandon the manager were on the ball and got it sorted. We have a new born baby and they provided a lovely travel cot for us to use. The bathroom is a good size, with a powerful shower. One thing that would be good to add into the property is a coffee table of sorts in the lounge area. When your sitting and chilling (had to do a lot of that as the weather was so bad) we used a kitchen chair as a table in the lounge as it’s a little awkward putting the drinks and things on the floor, plus you worry about knocking it over onto the rug. It’s so minor though and only an ebi. We had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and both were delicious. The ingredients was fresh and good sized portions. They clearly put a lot of passion into the restaurant. It is such a lovely relaxing atmosphere with a nice fire. Special thank you to both Brandon and the housekeeper (sorry I didn’t get your name). You were both so tentative and welcoming, which really makes the stay. We will be back!

The Classic room was well appointed and comfortable. It was also spotlessly clean and had a good shower. The check in and Check out were good and there was ample free parking. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm . The hotel stay includes breakfast and the service at breakfast was very good

The beautiful old Coaching Inn is 5 minuets drive from Broad-on-Avon and 20 minutes from Bath and in the lower end of the Cotts Wolds. The staff there are very helpful and always ready to please. the meals are first class as you will find if you stay there or eat at the restaurant. our room were really beautifully furnished, clean and tidy. the beds were remade everyday and rooms clean, the Inn is a credit to the owners.

The staff and meal were lovely. My room was nice but so small! The bathroom door hitting the bed every time I opened it. I think the room could do with some smartening up as it is looking tired. So ok especially my meal which I thoroughly enjoyed. The Scotch egg starter being particularly tasty

Beautiful pub with great gardens and views over surrounding countryside. . Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and super helpful. We stayed in one of the holiday cottages. Very comfortable and scrupulously clean with a lovely little garden to sit in out front which we made good use of chilling at the end of a busy day. We found the Tollgate Inn just randomly as we needed to be in that vicinity close to a marina, but we really got lucky. Highly recommend and would definitely go back. Thank for a lovely stay!

Beautiful Inn set in gorgeous location. We stayed here in Samatha for 2 nights and everything was just perfect. The building is very well maintained and it looks like they have just done some external renovations. Definitely recommend this place to anyone, food is just amazing too!
