Fantastic hotel. Chalet style room was very comfortable and quiet. Hotel staff were all very friendly and the food was absolutely first class and amongst the best we have had on our travels. Would certainly recommend and we will return.

My Husband gifted me a Groupon voucher for Christmas for a 3 night stay. Upon arrival Sarah advised us there had been a bit of a mix up with the booking but she had sorted it by moving us to a glamping pod with a hot tub for our last night which was a great way to resolve the situation. We ate in the pub on the first night but they were very busy and it took a long time for food to arrive but once again Sarah sorted this and gave complimentary drinks. The food was very good though once it arrived. Both the chalet room and pod were lovely and the breakfast was also excellent and great quality ingredients from a local butcher. The staff really make this place which seemed to be very popular on the Friday & Saturday evening but we were never disturbed despite being in close proximity to the beer garden. Plenty of places in the village for food and a few shops too. A great base to visit Ripon & Bridlington.

What a lovely place, from entering to leaving we loved it. The staff were fabulous, everyone of them cannot do enough, so helpful and friendly. The chalet room was great, only draw back, bathroom a tad small, but adequate. No toiletries, note to self in future pack some for every trip just incase!!! but it didn't spoil our trip, we just bought some at a near by shop problem solved!! The breakfast was excellent on both mornings. Ate in the pub both nights, brilliant, so much choice, fresh made delicious. We will be back.

Lovely get away from start to finish, the place is a little hidden gem, from walking through the door to going home staff can’t do enough for you. Very friendly Sarah the manager is a lovely lady who takes pride in her work to make sure everyone is happy, who ever hired her needs a pat on the back more places Need people like her, watching her work on her own and serve everyone as well as do loads of other jobs at same time, that is what you call service with a smile. Hats off to the chef food was amazing on both nights, the fish basket is amazing, pub very cosy and welcoming. Breakfast staff was great very happy and friendly breakfast was great was cooked just right, we had a problem with our heating in the room but Sarah soon got it sorted for us, rooms are comfy and very fresh we slept so well we had everything we needed for a Great stay, we are definitely coming back to stay. Well done to the owner he has a great term and should be proud.

Had a lovely weekend getaway in March. The room was comfortable and clean, and has not long been renovated to a great standard. We ate in the pub both nights and the food was very good, all homemade and a good choice of options. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, Amy and Sarah specifically were great; helpful, very competent and eager to help with anything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely visit again, I was very impressed with the standards for such a reasonable cost to stay.
