La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Airport

Horrible experience. The hotel was nasty, the floors were so dirty, there were bed bugs, blood on the sheets, hair everywhere, and I couldn’t sleep. There was an alarm that went off at 5am which is unpredictable but the staff were not helpful at all. I asked for Lysol wipes that were behind the counter. They wouldn’t give me one, and the man said I was being rude and threw them in the trash. Truly traumatic experience and I am waiting for a refund with the help of booking. I don’t want any credits I just want my money back. I have bed bug bites everywhere and stranded now.

The service was excellent. All the people at the front desk and the shuttle driver, we’re very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was mediocre. I liked the location, because this hotel is on the end of a road and far from any highway, so I could sleep with out having to wear earplugs, as I have to do at a lot of the other hotels in the area.

This hotel is overdue for an update. Carpets were dirty/stained/sticky, toilets from the 80s with flushing handles on backwards, showers that make you wonder how to not get scalded or frozen and stairways that exit the building and don’t let you back in. This isn’t where you want to be.

Talk about a great location for a hotel. But this place needs to be remodeled badly. Sinking bathtubs, dirty, broken appliances. Had to change rooms. Air conditioning units' barley working; had to hit it for it to work properly.

Kitley the night shift desk person went above and beyond keeping us calm when we realized that my wallet had been left in the Uber. She helped get it back and even offered to make us a waffle since our plane came in way late and we hadn’t eaten since early am. She is a jewel and we were so grateful for her.

The hotel is also located in a remote, dimly-lit area, so it was not an option to walk to restaurants. We got in late in the evening and needed to eat so ended up ordering food from a take-out place the hotel recommended. The food was expensive, awful, and the restaurant management was rude when we phoned to inquire why we hadn't received our food after an hour of waiting. The next morning, we went down to get breakfast (which was included in the price of our stay) and there was no food or coffee to be had. The cost of the shuttle the hotel advertised to get to the cruise terminal was much more expensive that an Uber, so we cancelled our booking with the hotel. The only plus was that the hotel was close to the cruise terminal.

First off the registrar ANTIONE was unable to process my credit card payment and basically told me it was my problem and that I should USE A DIFFERENT CREDIT CARD which was BS. The property is old and shabby and the room that I paid over $200 for was TRASH! I would NEVER STAY OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE. The jacuzzi and pool are NASTY AND MOLDY. This property needs a COMPLETE RENOVATION!

The shuttle service to the port. The a/c in the room was not working properly. I talked to other guests that had the same issue. There are no usb receptacles in the room. The elevator is extremely slow and sounds like it about to break.

We reserved two beds and when we checked in they only had one king left. Also the breakfast didn’t have enough eggs and the waffle maker didn’t work,
