The hotel next to the desert wall stall is neither amazing nor disappointing. The breakfast is simple and there is nothing to eat. I just passed by it on the 66th kilometer of the self-driving route.

I wanted to look out to check something outside and couldn’t use the peep hole in the door because it had been plugged for some reason, which could be a safety issue if someone was at the door. Second issue is their breakfast was very limited: waffles, bread slices and muffins. The biggest issue was not enough places to sit. I do need to clarify, there was a second area around the corner with tables but it wasn’t noticed until we were checking out.

Prompt check in. They did not give me a receipt. There was no Kleenex in the room, no coffee maker in room, one small shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion, only one really small bar of soap, and no body wash or soap for shower.
I expect more from a Howard Johnson.

All is well. Nice room, clean and spacious. Located near the interstate.
The man that checked us out this morning was great. I not only spilled one cup of coffee but two cups. He kept saying “It i ok, it is ok”. He cleaned up my mess and won’t let me help.

The room was mostly clean but dirty in the corners and although the floor appeared to be vacuumed it really needs a good mopping. I moved the refrigerator so I could plug something in the wall and the floor was filthy under it with trash and dirt. Under the bed was dirty too.

The room was very small but clean. The style of the hallway was not inviting. The comforter had a stain about in the middle of it. Went to use the bath soap and it would not work. It was full and looked like it wasn’t opened. Cracks around the bathtub. The carpet looked dirty on the first floor.

We were promised a room with desert view. Manager purposely put us on opposite side of the desert facing another hotel even though I mentioned what our reservation said upon arrival. Deceiving advertising.

Everything was good with the exception of the breakfast. Essentially I had the choice of cold cereal or hot instant oatmeal. Not a deal breaker but it would be nice to have more choices if you advertise breakfast. The restaurant next door served excellent smoked meats and home made vegetables and soup—delicious.

Nice Hotel and Fun for Kids
The Pool is open from 2pm - 11pm. The washer is the smallest I've ever seen, and costs $2/load, as does the dryer. They can make change out of bills at the front desk. Starch/sugar/gluten breakfast available in mornings, and was fine. Great location - glad we found it!
