Villas Caracol

We absolutely loved every second of our 4-nights stay. This was the best hotel we stayed at so far during all of our travels. We got welcomed with a delicious welcome drink and then got guided to our room with pool view. We had a little seating area in front of our room, which we really liked. Our room was huge and nicely decorated. Everything was clean and well looked after. Every evening we received a small treat from the kitchen, which was always delicious. The beach was right in front of the hotel and there were lots of sunbeds exclusively reserved for us hotel guests. Also the pool area was very nice and spacious. To get to the village we used taxis (150 pesos per drive) or bikes that we rented in the village. It took us around 5 (taxi) to 10 (bike) minutes to get to the city centre. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious and offered a big selection of different kinds of food. All of the staff members were amazing and super friendly. We always felt welcome and well looked after. When watching the sunset from the beach we even got a free drink from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Holbox. Thank you to the full team, you are amazing! We will definitely come back, when we're on the island again.

WOW! This is quite simply the best hotel we've ever stayed at. We were fortunate enough to get a free upgrade after we let the property know we were celebrating our recent engagement and the room was incredible, enormous space, huge comfortable bed, giant balcony with whirlpool bath, plus welcome gifts and a sweet treat left in our room every night. The beach club is fantastic, never a rush on or lack of sunbeds, the staff are incredibly attentive and go above and beyond in catering to whatever wants or needs you may have. The pool is wonderful and a great place to cool off in the afternoon heat, the swim up bar is fantastic and the cocktails are incredible, and fairly priced relative to the rest of the island. The breakfast menu is extensive and delicious, and we also ate at the restaurant on our final night which was the best meal we had on the island. We also ended up opting to pay for a transfer back to Cancun airport through the hotel, which was a seamless and calm experience compared to sorting taxis/ferry/ADO ourselves. Huge thanks to all the staff for honestly making this the trip of a lifetime for us, we'll certainly be coming back!

Family with two young kids, we stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful time and were looked after by all the staff. The resort is very well presented and have spacious rooms. It’s not a huge resort so didn’t feel busy or crowded, most days we had the pool completely to ourselves and could always find a lounger on the beach. The restaurant is very nice and had lots of visitors during breakfast, lunch and dinner from other resorts. Each night they left a little dessert in the room which is a nice touch. The nicest part of the beach is right outside the resort. I was able to easily communicate with the resort beforehand and always got a quick reply to any questions, and during our stay quick and easy comms via WhatsApp. They helped organise transfer all the way from and to Cancun airport all the way which made the journey seamless. If we ever go back to Holbox I’d definitely stay here again.

Our stay was excellent. The location, beach, building and room were beautiful, very clean everywhere. Beds were comfortable and big. Ac worked, hot water and strong water pressure at all times, excellent service from staff at all times. The breakfast included was filling and delicious, we tried several items on their menu and were never disappointed. The location is a close walk to punta mosquito and a 20 minute walk to downtown, or a short 5 minute taxi ride, which could be easily requested ahead of time. It is dark at night if you’re walking to and from down town, so bring some headlights or flashlights to light your way. Also I think it would be wise if the hotel agreed on a fixed rate for taxis. A lot of the rides varied from 150-200-to even 300 pesos. This hotel made it easy to request anything that we needed through what’s app from booking tours to renting bicycles Or taxis, it was all a quick text away. The pool was very pretty, however I didn’t get in due to weather and the pool was not heated, I am unsure if it even has that capability, however if it doesn’t It would be a very nice feature to provide. I definitely recommend staying here and I would do so again with no hesitation, cannot wait to be back!

Surely the best hotel in Holbox. Absolutely amazing place. The best stay from start to finish. A lovely welcome after a 17 hour journey to get here. Beautiful room, really big and stylish decor. Pool area is bliss and the pool is a great size. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. Benjamin looked after us in the restaurant, but they were all so nice from checking in until leaving. Every time they are happy and helpful. Food was amazing, plenty of choice and delicious. Best food we had on the island. Beach is stunning and clean. Lots of little surprise courtesy extras and an incredible courtesy boat trip which made us feel special and valued as a customer. Thank you everyone at Villas Caracol for giving us the most wonderful holiday. I would recommend anyone coming to Holbox to stay at Villas Caracol.

Stunning location right beachfront, the staff are extremely nice, very friendly, and they had a cute little restaurant with delicious breakfast. You can have breakfast listening to the serene calming waves with a direct view of the blue green sea. They clean the room everyday really nicely (some hotels don’t!). The pool is gorgeous. They brought us tiny little pastries each day. Careful to lock your doors at night, raccoons can and will open the door! Birdsong and ocean waves everywhere. It’s a 15m walk from town, so feels far enough away. The beach right in front is not crowded at all. The whole place feels like a treehouse inside a jungle.
