We stayed at Keyforest for two nights, as part of a trip to the nearby Hakushu distillery. We did not know what to expect, as this was our first foray outside the major cities in Japan. To our very pleasant surprise, this turned out to be one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in some really great ones). The rooms were gorgeous and big, with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed the on-site whiskey bar. The staff was very accommodating; when we wanted a different restaurant for our second night, they just drove us there and back. And we loved the private hot springs / spa area, maybe three minutes walk from the hotel itself. Then there's the Keith Haring Museum next door - took us about 30 minutes to go through, with a lot of cool artwork. Super great experience, we would love to go back!

The facility was very clean, and although I caused a lot of inconvenience and stress to the employees, they responded without making a single unpleasant face and I had a great time. , I would like to use it as many times as I want.
