This is a facility issue and there is nothing we can do about it, but
there is a lot of noise from the floors below and in the hallways,
which can be a bit annoying when trying to get a good night's rest.
There are no desk lamps or bed lights,
so it's inconvenient to have to turn off the lights in your room with a wall switch.
If you use a bed in a twin room that is not on the wall with a switch (we have been asked to only have one for eco-friendly reasons),
you will have to rely on the light from your cell phone.

Very clean inn with onsen (hot mineral spring bath), an attached restaurant and jazz appreciation lounge. Allows dogs up to 77lbs. too. Kind staff. Cards accepted. Lovely area to take walk too.

Gorgeous place, friendly staff, clean onsen. Although it is probably better as a romantic getaway, they were very accommodating for my 3-year-old.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the western style breakfast was lovely. The steak restaurant served delicious food too. The private hot spring baths were great, and availability was no problem during our stay. The best thing of all was the jazz bar - a room with an amazing collection of jazz records and a superb sound system, with the proprietress very happy to explain and recommend the music. She was so friendly and really made a great atmosphere for everyone. She was communicating with us in Japanese, so I don't know if she also speaks English. The beer was great too - Japanese craft ale on sale. The view of the mountains here is amazing, and if you're a fan of modern art, a gallery devoted to Haring is just over the road.

Lovely property but the airplane-style plastic toilet was ridiculously small - so small I hit my head on the doorknob when getting up from the toilet.
