1. Nice Lobby, But That’s Where It Ends
Upon arrival, the lobby looked clean, stylish, and well-maintained, it gave us a good first impression. However, things quickly changed once we entered our room. The room had an unpleasant, musty odor that did not go away even after airing it out. The bathroom smell was even stronger and uncomfortable to use.
2. Smoking Despite “Non-Smoking” Claims
Though the hotel advertises non-smoking rooms, our room had an ashtray and lingering smoke smell. For those with allergies or sensitivity, this is a major issue. The inconsistency between advertised policies and actual practices is misleading and unacceptable.
3. Only One Lift for the Entire Building
The hotel only has one functioning elevator, which led to long waiting times, especially during peak hours. With multiple floors and many rooms, this was frustrating and poorly managed.
4. Helpful Cleaner, But Poor Ventilation
5. Smart Room System – Not Foreign-Friendly
The room has a smart control system for lighting, curtains, and more, a great feature in theory. However, all settings and displays are only in Chinese, which made it difficult for non-Chinese-speaking guests to use even basic functions.
6. Limited Laundry Access
There were very few washing machines and dryers available, which didn’t match the scale of the hotel. We often had to wait in line just to do laundry.
7. Mixed Staff Experience
The male receptionist was unprofessional and unhelpful, but the female receptionist was more attentive and tried to assist with our issues. The hotel clearly lacks consistency in staff service quality.
