Not only is this hotel, beautiful, but it was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the owners made us feel so welcomed. They were very accommodating for our wheelchair user and we enjoyed our lovely room and the fabulously appointed common areas! Can’t wait to visit again!

My wife and I had such a fabulous time at The Grand Hotel in Hogansville. I took her there for her birthday, dinner, live jazz music, and a stay at the hotel. The live jazz music was outstanding. They performed in the 1890 room. Jordan, the bartender, served excellent drinks and the service and hospitality of Grace, his sister, and host/server was outstanding! The 1890 Room offers a variety of appetizers and drinks. And their food was delicious. The Grand Hotel is just beautiful. If you haven't seen it, it is worth it. It has been fully restored back to the 1890s look but with the modern comforts. Just lovely. We love the high ceilings, the period furniture, the cozy nooks to have a cup of coffee and play chess, the marble slab shower, the delicate light fixtures and hardwood floors restored back to its luster and shine.

The Grand Hotel is an iconic hotel. The architecture is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the accommodations were quite pleasant. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel for any occasion. The newly renovated Royal Theater is right across the street .

I am struggling to find a way in which the Grand did not exceed my expectations, and frankly, I've given up. The lobby was so beautiful that it stopped me on entry and I had to fish out my phone to start taking pictures. The wood surfaces glowed, the decorations were fun and tasteful, and the whole place looked and smelled clean and homey. My room (#4) was perfect. Soft sheets, warm blankets, and an extra-comfy bed that I did NOT want to climb out of in the morning. In fact, I found myself dithering at the end of my trip just to stay in the room a few minutes longer. Vickie helped me out via text, and was both delightful and solicitous. I did not eat in the attached restaurant, though I did speak to the folks in there and they were very friendly and kind. There IS a nearby train track, but if any locomotives went by during the night I never knew it. The Grand is utterly enchanting, and I will be staying there EVERY year from now on when I come for the big family Thanksgiving. Thank you for having me, and I was excited to be able to write this for you.

We only live 35 minutes away but when I saw this beautiful hotel while visiting for the Hummingbird Festival I wanted to go back and stay there. We received a text explaining the check in process because we were arriving late and everything went smoothly. The atmosphere in the lobby is incredible with all of the beautiful woodwork and period furniture. Our room had a sitting area and a door to the wrap around balcony, there were stained glass windows and high ceilings. I'm really glad that someone loved this place enough to restore it.

Our family gathered at the Grand for a weekend reunion and I could not have been more impressed with the staff, hotel and grounds. The on site Grand Market & Cafe provided a wonderful variety of sandwiches for lunch and were top notch. The Grand is beautiful, historic and welcoming.

The atmosphere, decor, and fine touches were excellent. The rooms were lovely, with lots of light and roomy. The beds, pillows, and linens were super. Extra special tiny but well-fitted decor in the bath. The shower head was large, powerful and the water hot. The extra care as shown to provide coffee, tea, and a fridge in the common lounge was a great touch. The desk clerk carried my bag upstairs. Safety concerns were addressed with the self-locking front door to lobby. There is a wonderful deli with smoothies in the lobby was a special treat. Not open Sunday/Monday. Would recommend and stay again. If you care there are two flights to the bedrooms. A lively jazz night on Friday and Saturday was great music but not for early-to-bed types.

Trendy historic hotel in Hogansville with many historic finishes. Pros - #2 has sitting room, large bedroom, bath with 90's whirlpool oversized tub, period stained glass windows in bedroom & sitting room, high ceilings, brick walls, period furniture (not perfect but it's period so expected), 2 fireplaces (not working but aesthetically pleasing), door to covered wraparound porch with some seating, bed is comfy with lots of pillows, main level of hotel has parlor with fireplace, walk back to bar which opens at 5 with seating, pool table, some light fare, outdoor courtyard with fountain (not working). Cons - lots of stairs, not handicap friendly, on a truck route so 18 wheelers fly through town which is only 1 street and there is an active railroad line 1 block away so noise evident inside. Sirens from police/fire drove past during the night a few times not sure what that was about, very little to do or see (only 3000 or so live in the town) so be prepared to drive to LaGrange (still small town only 30 thousand or so live there) about 10 to 20 minutes away for additional things to do. Calloway Gardens and Wild Animal Safari are 30 minutes away. Great Wolf Lodge is in LaGrange. Hogansville advertises a hummingbird festival in October. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would do it again if our plans take us near the area in the future.
