Trendy historic hotel in Hogansville with many historic finishes. Pros - #2 has sitting room, large bedroom, bath with 90's whirlpool oversized tub, period stained glass windows in bedroom & sitting room, high ceilings, brick walls, period furniture (not perfect but it's period so expected), 2 fireplaces (not working but aesthetically pleasing), door to covered wraparound porch with some seating, bed is comfy with lots of pillows, main level of hotel has parlor with fireplace, walk back to bar which opens at 5 with seating, pool table, some light fare, outdoor courtyard with fountain (not working). Cons - lots of stairs, not handicap friendly, on a truck route so 18 wheelers fly through town which is only 1 street and there is an active railroad line 1 block away so noise evident inside. Sirens from police/fire drove past during the night a few times not sure what that was about, very little to do or see (only 3000 or so live in the town) so be prepared to drive to LaGrange (still small town only 30 thousand or so live there) about 10 to 20 minutes away for additional things to do. Calloway Gardens and Wild Animal Safari are 30 minutes away. Great Wolf Lodge is in LaGrange. Hogansville advertises a hummingbird festival in October. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would do it again if our plans take us near the area in the future.
