Seljavellir Guesthouse

This is a lovely property in a great spot. Only recommendation is to chase the email with access info if you arriving late. I hadn't received it so took a little longer to check in.

We got to see the northern lights for the first time! It will hold a special place in our heart!

This guest house was like the others in Iceland-very simple, very clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the overhead light. I was able to see much better in the room with better lighting. The shower was also slightly bigger than the other guesthouses we stayed in. Breakfast was included and was also very nice. I suggest adding a flat sheet to the bed because sleeping with a comforter was too ot-even with the window open.

Keypad to open door difficulties. Ended up with a regular key. They were nice about the issue. With the window open its possible to reach inside and open door to room. I tried it. Safe country, yes, but I want my room secure while I'm sleeping. Odd texture to floor not pleasant to walk on without shoes. There is a thermostat, excellent blackout curtains, and pleasant views. Drive to town doable. But I hate to say it, even though they were helpful about the door, I wouldn't choose to stay there again. I just didn't like the lack of security due to the window's proximity to the door handle.

Room was good, bed was a bit uncomfortable. The shower was ok . Need some maintenance as you see mold growing in the ceiling corners . But it is ok - we open the window.

It’s at a good location. Loved the one-way windows. We can see the glaciers inside the room.

Awesome place close to town, everything was modern and clean. Host was lovely at checkin. Would stay here again

Great property, very clean and tidy. Everything worked well, beds were very comfortable and bathroo. Was great.
