Comfort Inn Hoffman Estates - Schaumburg

We had a cancelled flight at O'Hare and needed 12 rooms for our group. American Airlines put us up at the Comfort Inn in Hoffman Estates. Pedro R was the man behind the counter and did a terrific job making us feel welcome. At 5:30 in the morning he gave me all the toiletries they had and we put them at our travelers doors because we didn't have our bags. Great job Pedro!

Hyatt hotels are generally relatively large, with separate sofas and writing desks. These days, children choose to have writing desks in the nearby high school entrance examination SAT to facilitate their study, so they booked this hotel. Ctrip does not include breakfast, but generally such chain hotels in the United States will include breakfast. The hotel rooms are large and a bit old, but they are still clean. There are more blacks and Indians here on weekends. It seems to be on vacation. On the side of the road, there are cinemas, Chinese food, and Japanese food nearby, which is quite convenient. Such a price cannot be too high!

Chicago Marriott Northwest

I always stay at Marriott hotels. Always. However, I will never stay at this Marriott again. I booked a room on the concierge floor, which was the 8th floor. As soon as I checked in, I turned the thermostat in the room all the way down, as low as it would go, to 65. It was currently 71 degrees in the room. I went downstairs to have a drink and returned to my room about an hour later, only to find out it was still 71 degrees. I called and asked for someone from maintenance to come up and look at it. They sent someone up immediately. He advised me that there is no AC as they turn it off so the temperature will not go down, but he was going to turn it on for me. He went over to the thermostat, pressed some buttons, and turned the thermostat down to 60 degrees. He asked if I wanted a fan, I said no, I wanted a comfortable room. He said it would cool down and then I could adjust it. 30 minutes later, the AC still had not come on. So I got dressed and went downstairs. It is now past 11 p.m. The lady at the front desk informed me that they turn the AC off in the winter and there was no way for it to be turned on. I asked why the maintenance guy told me otherwise and she said she didn't know. I asked her to ask him and she said he left for the evening. I told her I have medical issues that require the use of steroids and I could not stay in an overheated room. Again, she offered a fan to blow the hot air around. The hotel does not have windows that open. She offered to move me to a lower floor, one of the coldest rooms in the hotel. Room 101 or 106. Of course now at 11:30 p.m., I had to pack up all my stuff and move. The room was much more comfortable, but it was also right next to the door that people come in and out of and a heater that was making a clanking noise in the stairwell. This hotel is in need of serious updates. The bathrooms have been updated but all other furniture and amenities are much older. TV's are extremely small. You pay for comfort when you stay in a hotel and I don't know how, by law, they can turn the AC off on you. The next morning, 2 of the 3 people I was traveling with had the same complaint. They were on floors 5 and 8. There was nothing offered for my inconvenience and in fact, they still charged me the rate of being on the concierge floor. 4 days after check out, I still do not have my receipt e-mailed to me.
