Beautiful manor house with lush gardens overlooking a water hole where you can just observe giraffes, impalas, and many other animals at anytime during the day. Among the best boutique hotels we’ve been, the personalized service and attention of the staff, especially Truth, Advice, Jabu & Raymond was incredible. All meals were wonderful and house wine selection“Tokara” was very nice. A small point of improvement, having a wine & cocktail menu would help know the full list of options and price range available. Leadwood suite was very spacious, comfortable, well appointed, and gave a real sense of place. WiFi was a bit patchy and there’s no TV in room but we were not there for that! We could hear the freight trains passing day and night but wasn’t a major distraction. This is perhaps the cost of convenience, the lodge is 10 min away from both the main town and airport of Hoedspruit - a plus for those with limited time. Cici at the spa took great care of us for massages and facial treatments. Beautiful secluded spot overlooking the Savanah and nice products. Game drives were exceptional, we saw cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions.. it’s worth doing as many game drives you can with Khaya Ndlovu; Elsa, Harry and Terence were really good at replying to all our questions and explaining all aspects of the unique ecosystem. Point of improvement: external groups coming for game drives could be kept away from the pool and deck area - as their arrival/departure disrupted the tranquility and sense of privacy. We would certainly recommend to others and look forward to coming back!

Amazing experience. Staff are so friendly and so eager to help and make your stay wonderful. Had the tent, which was such an amazing experience. I didn't really appreciate how close I would be to the animals, with giraffes and zebra right outside my tent in the mornings. I did start worrying about lions coming to the tent but thankfully it didn't happen! Trips were awesome, definitely recommend them. Really well organised, always felt very safe. It says food and drinks are included in the trips but they are not, so that was awkward one day when I didn't bring money or food with me. Massage/spa was wonderful. Loved the infinity pool. Food was ok. Website says they cater for vegans and I kept messaging them to check they could cater for me and was assured they could... but sadly they did struggle a bit. Some days the food was wonderful. Other days I was served food with egg or dairy in it, or just a green salad. As i had gone all inclusive it did mean I was hungry a lot of the time, so if you are vegan then bring your own food or find somewhere you can eat out. Safaris were just unreal. Out of this world. They have every animal you could wish to see and the rangers know where to find them and will spend so much time making sure you see everything you want to see. They are kind and helpful and happy to answer all the questions. They make sure you are warm enough, that you have everything you need. Really was one of the best experiences of my life and I would definitely come back here.

Wow. Words can hardly capture the incredible experience my family and I had at Khaya Ndlovu. We each shed a tear when leaving, wondering why we hadn’t stayed another week. From the moment we were picked up at the airport to the final drop-off, we felt truly welcomed by the fantastic hosts, guides, and staff. Even the owner’s personal greeting made us feel right at home. With so many options in the region, it’s easy to see why we chose Khaya Ndlovu—and even easier to understand why it’s rated so highly. The team goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience. Floyd’s beautifully set lunch tables with a breathtaking view of the Drakensberg mountains made every meal feel special. Our guide, Ilsa, and tracker, Harry, were simply outstanding—knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply committed to giving us the best possible safari experience. We were incredibly lucky to witness all the big game, including some rare and breathtaking moments—lions successfully hunting, wild dogs on the move, hyenas attempting to steal a meal, and even the elusive African Wild Cat. If we could give a sixth star, we absolutely would. Thank you to the entire team for making our time so magical. We can’t wait to return.

The resort is beautiful, the room was clean and equipped with every comfort. the half board is not bad even if there is little choice. Too bad for the customer service, I had to pay for all the extra activities in advance and then in the end an excursion was cancelled at the last minute without receiving any refund at check out. the assistance is very confusing and not organised, after more than a month they no longer responded, telling me that they had problems with the credit card transactions. absolutely embarrassing, a service like this is inconceivable for supposedly luxury resorts, so I avoid recommending it to couples who want to enjoy a nice vacation. a missed opportunity

Amazing! We did a whole day safari game with Vusi, the best guide ever! We saw a cheetah and a leopard closed to our car! He explained everything to us and drive slowly to spot all animals around. Amazing experience. If we return to Kruger we will repeat with Vusi again for sure! Thanks Vusi

A wonderful boutique type of hotel, for a European Africa at its best. Although not directly in the Kruger Park, they have their own reserve, so you do see lots of animals directly in front of the infinity pool and the bar. Very good food, nice drinks, one of the best views to the Drakensberg mountains with Blyde River Canyon. A dream come true!

We spent 5 nights here over Christmas and had a fabulous stay from beginning to end. The staff were unbelievably attentive and the accommodation was perfect. The food was of a very high standard and the experienced guides made every safari expedition exciting. We saw cheetahs, lion, rhino, elephants, giraffe, zebras, wild dogs and the usual kudu, wildebeest and various buck. Would have no hesitation in recommending!

We visited Khaya Ndlovu for a game drive and dinner with family. We have done this many times in the past and always try to make a visit whenever we are in the Hoedspruit area. The setting of the Manor House is exquisite, with the most amazing view across the bush to the Drakensburg Mountains. There is a classy touch of colonial comfort and style about Khaya, but it still manages to embody a relaxing, friendly and uniquely special quality. The game drive on this occasion was excellent, with a great guide and tracker. We saw cheetah, elephant, rhino, and a pride of six lion in addition to many species of plains game. The food was equally good, with attentive and friendly service, and once again we left having been crafted a wonderful family memory.
