African Rock Lodge

We stayed (only) three nights at African Rock Lodge and it was the perfect choice for our trip to Kruger. Sander and Juliette were great hosts to us, their place is warm and cosy. We loved the dinners under the open air, food was delicious. With AFL being located in a wildlife reserve, we had the chance to meet impalas, kudus or giraffes during our stay and this made our experience unbelievable. Sander organised for us exciting safaris as well in Kruger and in private game reserves. I hope we will have the chance to come back here, everything was perfect and our only regret is that time flew too fast. Dear Juliette, Sander, we thank you, we wish you all the best and we hope you will find the resources to bring joy to many other visitors as you did it for us!

Sander and Juliette are great hosts and this was our second visit, so obviously we loved it the first time around! It a lovely location, where you can walk quite safely. The evening Braai’s are amazing and thoroughly recommended. We had a breakfast picnic for two of our days as we headed off to Kruger at 4.30 and they were the BEST picnics we have had in all our years of staying around the Kruger area. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will be back!!

Sander and Juliet gave us a fantastic welcome and looked after our every need. A successful trip for all split between work and play in this wonderful Limpopo region. We look forward to organizing next year's trip at the African Rock Lodge !!

African Rock Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way! Exceptional hospitality, impeccable attention to detail, and delicious food made our stay truly unforgettable. This cozy, well-maintained gem offers perfectly coordinated safari and bush walk, game reserve and more experiences without being pushy. Highly recommend !!

We were delighted with African Rock Lodge, with only around 5 rooms, ideal for a quiet peaceful stay in a secure reserve. Great seeing animals wondering around the area. Our room was beautifully fitted out with tastefully authentic African artifacts. The room was exceptionally clean and cleaned every day. The cook for the Braii was excellent and never tasted such soft flavoured fresh meat (I don't usually eat a lot of meat but could not resist having it. The breakfast was superb with so much choice. Staff are excellent and extremely helpful. The garden area has been so well thought out and everything well kept also the pool was a bonus during the hot weather. The whole lodge is kept exceptionally clean and well decorated in an African theme. The hosts Sander and Juliet are wonderful hosts. We originally booked for 3 days but extended for 7 days!! Thanks again Sander and Juliet hopefully one day we may return. Christine and Mike - UK

Sander and his team were always caring and supported us with very helpful and honest recommendations and organised the tours for us. The lodge was very comfy & clean, food was also very nice ❤️ We enjoyed every minute! Thank you Sander & Juliette & team 🙏🏽
