Moditlo River Lodge

This is my 3rd trip to Modilto and it never disappoints. The staff are probably some of the friendliest and most helpful I’ve come across. Nothing is too much. Jika and Caswell, you don’t get better trackers out there. We asked to see something and you know they’ll make it happen. The rooms are great with ample space. The food is too notch, all we did was eat for 3 days. It was great. Moditlo will definitely see us again. Thanks for a great stay☺️

Moditlo was such a delight! Went for my birthday weekend celebration & it was amaze-balls. The staff super friendly & professional, our game ranger Sidwell was out of this world great, we saw all the big 5!! The food fresh & tasty - exceptional attention to detail, consistent night walk service to room & back for safety, very warm & efficient restaurant staff, Jim was especially awesome! Full lodge staff did a beautiful & special birthday celebration dance with full individual celebration cake! What a beautiful intimate stay, thank you Moditlo family for such a wonderful stay. I loved it!

They have nice facilities and good and friendly staff. The game drive was amazing and unforgettable. A rare experience, I highly recommend. Thank you Junce, Janny and Derick we asked and you delivered. We really had a great time and definitely coming back.🥳

Today we had our first game reserve safari with driver Erik and his tracker. We saw the big four!! Wow what a great team and what a great experience they gave us. South Africa and Moditlo forever in our hearts. Not only the wild life but also the people. We certainly come back. Best regards, Ed and Nancy

Wonderful trip from the day we arrived! Everything is planned perfectly! A real big shout out to our game driver and tracker Rico and Mdu who made our experience extraordinary! They shared incredible insights, stories and many laughs! Thank you guys!!

Moditlo Lodge was arguably one of the best stays of my life. I truly would not change one single thing. From arrival to departure, the staff really pays attention to the little things that make the stay even that much better. Reco did our airport transfer and was the perfect person to greet us on behalf of Moditlo. Junce and Christabel (Who also provided phenomenal spa services) greet you with warm smiles and vanilla hand towels, Erik, Marvin, and Appearance ensure a seamless meal service, Kayla and Abraham provide 11/10 meals at every meal, and Donald ensures a safe walk to your cabin during the night. Reco and Derrick were the most splendid tracker and drivers. We could not believe how knowledgeable they were on our safari rides, and that knowledge ensured that we saw the big 5! More than that, their knowledge allowed them to get us to certain spots earlier than other groups which was awesome. They were so personable, and we loved asking questions and getting to know them while also learning so much about the reserve land and the animals on it. Every interaction with a staff member left a mark on us, as they provided such amazing service and kindness. I could go on and on but I would really be saying the same things about how amazing this lodge is over and over, so I’ll keep it simple: BOOK YOUR STAY HERE!! I wish we had been there even longer. Thank you Moditlo staff for the trip of a lifetime!
