Great place. The "tents" are super, fresh, modern and well looked after. Tent is a misnomer, they are really cabins with solid walls clad with canvas for aesthetic reasons. First time I have stayed in a tent with a tiled bathroom!🙂 Food was wonderful and service was fantastic. Annie the owner, could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. It is a long way from the paved road (10km of dirt road and then 5 km of dirt track) but don't let the put you off it is worth it.

Kingfisher Creek is a phenomenal lodge with the best staff you could ask for. We felt extremely welcomed and looked after through the entirety of our 4 night stay. Annie was so kind, friendly, and beyond helpful in arranging and organising all of our activities and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great stay. There's a reason she has been called superwoman; it's abundantly clear that Annie takes great pride in her job, the lodge, and making sure her guests feel at home. The location is great and close enough for arranging game drives and excursions in nearby areas such as nearby big 5 reserves, Kruger National Park, and Blyde. But we also enjoyed the guided walk within the reserve and being shown the different tracks left behind by animals like impala, giraffe, and hyenas. The accommodation is fabulous and has everything you need to feel comfortable. Our room was perfect for a couple. The outdoor shower was also a real highlight. Everything was conveniently close to the main restaurant, lounge, and pool; despite being in the room closest to the lobby, we still felt like we had enough privacy. It was a dream to also hear lions and hyenas calling during the nights. The food cooked by Nikiwe was spectacular - she truly is a talented chef and it genuinely felt like 5 star dining. We were amazed each night and at each breakfast with the choices, quality of food, and felt contently well fed every day - there was not a single night where we went to bed hungry! Additionally, Annie and Nikiwe pulled out all the stops to cater for a vegan dietary requirement for one of us, which was really appreciated. All of the wait staff were also wonderful and added to the enjoyable experience we had. The setting is cosy with an open fire, surrounded by bush, seeing monkeys and Nyala every day, and it felt surprisingly remote which we loved. We wish we could keep it as our own little hidden gem, but it would be too selfish to not recommend staying at Kingfisher! We were incredibly relaxed the whole holiday and when you visit for yourself, you'll really get to see what made us fall in love with Kingfisher Creek. It's not to be missed and once you're there we're sure you won't want to leave! We will certainly be coming back many many more times in the future (we started planning our next visit before we'd even left)! Thank you Annie & all of the Kingfisher staff! We can't wait to see you again. Tapinder & Ish

The Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge is truly a hidden gem in the Greater Kruger area. Our lodge was modern, spacious, extremely clean and super comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor shower where you could hear the voices of nature while getting ready for the day. The team really treated us amazingly well. Annie, John, Petunia, Nikiwe, Abraham and the other team members went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay. Petunia, who was our attentive hostess and diligent housekeeper made sure we had a very comfortable time. Every evening Nikiwe cooked a delicious 3-course meal that felt like a little feast we looked forward to every day. Long story short, we had the best time and enjoyed all the meals, safaris and everything around it. We would really recommend Kingfisher Creek Safari Lodge to everyone who is looking for a fantastic lodge as the hub to explore the Kruger area.

A perfect stay with a perfect host. Immaculate and beautifully arranged accommodation in private Wildlife Reserve on the doorstep to Kruger National Park. Host Annie is a delight, attentive and full of knowledge about the area and how to best use the time you have available. Great that she uses local tour companies, produce etc. Fabulous meals provided as part of the package, cooked lovingly and served outside under the stars, weather permitting!! A small, individual lodge means it’s got that homely feel, exceptional quality and attention to detail in every way.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a captivating stay at the cottage near the Kingfisher Creek Lodge. This hidden gem offered a perfect blend of value, luxury, nature, and personalised hospitality. The lodge is nestled under a tree canopy beside a natural creek, the decked dining room and boma are a perfect bush setting. We had delightful breakfasts on the deck, which featured a fresh menu with cereals, yoghurts, and daily baked treats, accompanied by choices like bacon and eggs while being serenaded by water birds such as the woodlands kingfisher. Suppers were a culinary delight from carefully curated menus created by the in-house chef, enjoyed either on the deck under the stars and shade, or inside when it rained. Regrettably, we missed a braai in the boma due to rain - we will be back! Nights were a sensory experience, with a cacophonic chorus of frog calls punctuated by the evocative sounds of the African bush. The lodge's intimate size ensures a personalised experience from the caring staff. The cottage, 1km away, provided a private escape and a genuine connection with nature. During the days we relaxed on the deck, took dips in the warm pool with a creek view and explored the Park which is 30 minutes away. This lodge seamlessly blends luxury with the African bush's untamed beauty, offering a magical experience at an accessible price. We're already planning our next visit to this haven in the heart of nature; it's that good!

We felt very comfortable and in good hands from the very first minute. The lodge was uniquely located and very well equipped. The outdoor shower is a dream. Annie takes care of everything and always has an open ear for any concerns. Breakfast and dinner are always lovingly prepared and the staff are excellent. All in all, a very successful stay in the middle of the bush.

A very pleasant stay in a very comfortable cottage perfect for the size of our family for a very correct price. Annie was very helpful to organise all our activities in very few days (safaris, visit of wild animal rehabilitation centre, hot air balloning, quad bike safari) and always very attentive to our needs. A place to go !

Annie is so much more than the owner and manager of the lodge, she is the very soul of the place, going out of her way to make you comfortable, fulfill your wishes, make your dreams come true and find solutions for even the weirdest requests. Thank you Annie and Team!
