We had a truly wonderful time at Kapama Karula during our stay in South Africa. The resort is luxurious, beautifully maintained, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. One of the highlights was definitely the safari experience. Our driver, Tumelo, did his very best to help us spot the Big Five and made every game drive enjoyable and exciting. The food and service at the resort were excellent. As vegetarians, we appreciated that chef Sello, prepared a new vegetarian menu for both lunch and dinner. Meshack, our waiter, provided outstanding service and made every meal feel special. We were always given several options to choose from, and the food was consistently excellent. Overall, we had a very special and memorable stay. The combination of luxury accommodation, great food, excellent service, and unforgettable safari experiences made our time at Kapama Karula truly fantastic.

What an experience! If you are looking for a 5 star experience this is it! Beyond expectations! The villas were fantastic - loved the warm private pool off our deck as we watched monkeys! The staff were impressive - knew our names, drink preferences and were always available. We truly loved our stay and highly recommend!

If you want the absolute best safari experience, with the best accommodation and a culinary experience to match - then Kapama Karula should be your destination. As South Africans, we are used to visiting many private game reserves. Kapama is in a category of its own and I would recommend Karula to any of my friends visiting from overseas.

This was our second experience at Kapama and first at the Karula property. The hotel is exquisite in every way and the safaris were unbelievable. We saw everything we wanted and more. The staff was amazing, especially our driver Mike, tracker Suggest and waiter Singini. They made us and our daughters feel so special and we learned so much from them!

To put into words the amazing experience we had is challenging. From the moment you get picked up from the airport to moment you get dropped off again, every moment is to be treasured. The staff, the reserve, its wildlife, the lodge, the room, the food. Every aspect and experience is crafted with you in mind. The spa is a must. There’s too much to compliment, you will not regret a trip to this truly unforgettable place.

Second stay and saw all the the big five including three leopards and lots of hippos. Special shout-out to our guide Prescilla who was a gold mine of specie information. It rained one day and added to the experience, the provided ponchos work. The return trip to the airport was in a large covered van with a towed luggage cart We had the nine seat game driver vehicle to ourselves and rarely saw other vehicles. Family room has been refreshed since last visit with an additional bathtub and open shower. It's a unique experience to see the monkeys and Ngallas gambol feet from you through the shower glass while showering. Bar is stocked with premium liquor. A small herd of Ngallas continue to roam the property and add a nice touch.
