Hoa Lu District Hotels with Swimming Pools

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were really attentive and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the view onto the lake from the balcony and the pool were great. The hotel itself and the grounds were also very clean and well kept. Free bicycle hire was very useful and all in all, I would highly recommend this place to everyone, a I would definitely stay here again!

Expectations were high seeing the reviews and Tam Coc Garden totally exceeded these expectations. Great location to see amazing scenery and sights in northern Vietnam . Stayed in the bungalow for 2 nights. The room was ok, but the bathroom was not great. I could smell the toilet as soon as we were shown our bungalow for our stay which was not impressive, so we had to close the door every time. The bathroom looked half done. There was no shower, just a bathtub with a shower head that sat waist high, which meant it was very awkward for those that don’t want to use the bath. The mirror was too large at the sink that the corner was over part of the nailed shut window. The bungalow we stayed at was near the massage and spa place along with pool tables next to it. This was noisy in the mornings. The only saving grace was the view outside the bungalow, and being able to enjoy the mountain at sunrise before visitors arrive during the day. They had a restaurant located on site which closes around 9.30pm. The food was standard and nothing special, and the first morning they didn’t have a breakfast buffet. Instead they had a given us a menu which was hand written, and told to pick what we wanted to order for breakfast. The options were very limited and my noodles were very oily. I would save my money and stay elsewhere, or just take the day trip from Hanoi. It may have been worthwhile if we chose a different lodging option but I definitely would not be running back to stay. The staff were nice and booked us taxis into town as there was not much nearby to eat something decent. I left feeling extremely disappointed, and initially when we booked the room the photos seemed to show a different story. I wish I took photos to show the disappointment, but it was the last thing on our mind.

This is my fifth visit to Nan House, the perfect sanctuary to escape the madness of Hanoi. Situated on a quiet road in a rural setting but still only a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and bars of Tam Coc. Everytime I visit improvements have been made, it's just such a pleasure to stay in such a relaxing environment. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasurable, and I recommend anyone coming to Tam Coc to stay here. We will be back....

Absolutely incredible - one of the highlights of our entire stay in Vietnam. The scenery was simply breathtaking - and even though we visited in Vietnams winter time (and so the sky was pretty cloudy, and the fields rather bare), it was still so beautiful and so peaceful to wander around.The homestay had been built by the owner and her family, and is run as a family affair - but they still made sure to be attentive and provide a professional service. Choosing to stay in one of the bungalows, it really exceeded our expectations. Each bungalow came with a wooden deckchair, hammock, balcony and tea area - and everything had been well thought out for catering to guests needs. The homestay also provided bicycles for free, which was an added bonus. I would happily come and stay here again. Its the perfect place for families and couples who are looking to enjoy a peaceful time in Vietnam, and an ability to immense yourself in nature.

This hotel has been the best way to end our trip across Vietnam. Here everything is quite and gentle, a “havre de paix” as the French call such places. Colors are soft; people are silent. The room was big and so bright. Everywhere in the room there were little, pretty, sewed details and the bed linen were wonderful. At breakfast we had a good choice, with a French touch.

Kim, his friends and the entire staff were fantastic hosts. His home is absolutely stunning surrounded by tall mountains all around and a small pond in the middle. The rooms are beautifully done and very clean. The food was excellent and all special needs were met. Kim also gave his suggestion on what to do around ninh binh and provided the necessary services to plan day trips accordingly. Kim gives personal attention to all his guests and their requests. Staying at Kim’s home is an experience in itself which shouldn’t be missed. Also, they serve the best coffee.

The bungalows were located at a walking distance from some attractions. The hotel manager (and her two extremely adorable kids) were very kind and hospitable even though they were clearly short-staffed leading to forgetting some of the requests. The family room was quite spacious. The breakfast was a little bit underwhelming but for the price paid, it was worth it. The hotel offers an impressive range of services from renting scooters to arranging boat tours.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. Dzung and his family were so kind and generous. They went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. The pictures of the home stay on the internet do not do this place justice. Dzung has made every effort to make his guests feel at home. We each had bicycles that we could use free of charge. The breakfasts that his wife made were delicious, best pancakes! We had our own bathrooms and the rooms and facilities were absolutely pristine. Trip.com indicated that this home stay had shared washrooms but this isn’t always the case, we had our own private bathrooms. We also couldn’t get enough of the rooftop pool! Dzung was so helpful showing us where to go and what to do. The home stay is so conveniently located, away from the hustle and bustle. So tranquil and peaceful. We will mostly definitely be returning. This was truly a special experience that my husband and I will never forget. Thank you Dzung and your family for being the most gracious hosts. We felt as though we were a part of your family. We will see you all soon!
