We only stayed here for one night but wish we stayed longer. When we checked in, the owner greeted us with glasses of fresh orange and mango juice. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautiful. The next morning we didn’t have time to eat the included breakfast as we were running late for a bus, and she insisted on packing us a quick breakfast to go! I’ve never experienced such warm and friendly service. I could not recommend this place highly enough!

This is my second time staying at Ly's homestay and I will still come back again and again when I'm in Ninh Binh. Ly and her family were very hospitable and made us feel at home. It felt like we were living with family 💖 From cleanliness to location and service, everything was top notch.

We highly recommend Lys Homestay! The family is very lovely, the rooms are clean and cosy. You can rent bikes to a fair price and the location is perfect for backpackers. Thank you very much for this pleasant stay!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The swimming pool is simply incredible and perfect for cooling off at the end of the day. The boss is super nice and always ready to help. The breakfast is top notch, offering a variety of delicious choices.
The hotel offers a multitude of services such as bicycle and scooter rental, which is very convenient for exploring the surrounding area. In addition, they advise you on the routes to follow in Ninh Binh, which is a big plus for discovering this beautiful region.

Positives: Location - it is close to the main part of the town -- lots of restaurant choices within 500 meters of the hotel. Rooms: Clean, beds were comfortable. Owner: Lady owner is a lovely lady - very warm, accommodating, full of information. She will mother you. Negatives: Breakfast - We didn't enjoy our breakfast. There are limited choices - eggs 10 different ways, noodles 5 different wats, fried rice 6 different ways et al - I think you get the idea. I think they really need to improve the quality of the breakfast items.

Lys Homestay in Ninh Binh is a family business homestay. Owner & family are indeed very dedicated, rooms are extremely clean & beautifully decorated. Those who can't carry your luggage bags up the stairs ( no elevators) can request for ground floor. Breakfast is very well prepared by the family. Good location, free times can walk to the shops not far away and the river banks. Highly recommended.

We have returned to Lys Homestay in 12/24 after our wonderful stay in 2/24. This place is a hidden gem if you visit Tam Coc river network in Vietnam. The place is within walking distance to the river launch area and bustling tourist eateries, but where it is located is absolutely quiet, peaceful and free of noise. The title Homestay is misleading, it is a full-fledged hotel with its private rooms and ensuite bathrooms. The facility is very clean, with its breakfast area where free breakfasts are included with wonderful, steaming hot Western and Vietnamese dishes, juice and fresh fruits. Each room is quite spacious, with clean bathroom (not the common wet type in Vietnam), fridge, and a water boiler. The air conditioner runs well, same with shower flow. Laundry service is cheap and with fast turnaround. The swimming pool is sparklingly clean with good size although I have yet to see anyone taking advantage of it - perhaps in summertime only. The host with her son/daughter in law are so warm and welcoming and very informative. They book private cars and tours for us quickly, with their own reliable driver and private cars. Bikes and motorbikes are available for rent right on the property. We once caught some foreign tourists sleeping on a small bed next to the breakfast area when we came down for breakfast. The host admitted that she allowed them to stay in the warm bed when they arrived at 4 AM, way before their check in time. She could not heartlessly turn them away, allowing them to stay there for free until check in time. We thought it was very kind of her. Overall, this place is a must-return home away from home to us.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Tam Coc, this is a really good option. I would for sure stay here again. The location is optimal for exploring and enjoying the eating/drinking establishments in the area. But - the real selling point is the people working here. You become part of the family and everyone is so nice and helpful to make you feel welcome. The breakfast in the morning is hand made and really really good. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot to lay your head in Tam Coc.

Highly recommend this home stay. It’s very central walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. The family who run it are such lovely people and are so helpful with everything, helped with the activities, the transport for where to go after and in general all really caring. Really family ran makes you feel at home. The rooms are so clean and the beds are the most comfortable. They have so many options to explore the area and good recommendations.

Wow! What a fantastic time we had! Firstly, a great room, ground floor faced with the lovely pool. Own balcony. Everything is there. We had breakfast, hired a motorbike for two days , supplied fuel and did our laundry. 100€ for 3 days! They are lovely people and the place is spotless. Walking distance to all bars and restaurants and a fantastic boat tour. Pay a little extra and do the tour with the electric car after. Well worth it, for probably 2 euros!!!!

This was our second visit to the delightful little town of Tam Coc and staying at Lys Homestay. How wonderful it was to return to this fantastic place and be welcomed by the most lovely new Mum Dzung and her family. As with our previous visit their personal service was absolutely excellent, nothing was to much trouble for them, from arranging our transport to supplying our motor scooter and lots more. We stayed in the same ground floor room as our previous stay which was super clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom and great shower. We love this area of Vietnam and will be returning next year and will not hesitate to stay at Lys Homestay once again. For a rate of VND600.000 per night including breakfast this place offers outstanding value and highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed. Thank you to all the family for making our time with you so enjoyable.

We booked directly through Ly and immediately from the moment I met her she was incredibly helpful. Prior to booking the room she showed me around the homestay and its facilities.Our room, bathroom and the communal spaces were clean, tidy and well equipped. Each day Ly would ask us our plans and provide us with information on where to go and what to see in the area. She even gave us top tips and marked out sites on the map. The homestay is perfectly located. Directly across the road from the lively banana tree hostel and a one minute walk from the main street, you will have everything you need right on your doorstep at Ly’s homestay. However, despite being in the most perfect location with everything within walking distance the homestay remained quiet, private and secure. This was ideal in creating a relaxing haven in the middle of Tam Coc, which was ideal for nighttime when wanting to sleep in peace. You could easily hire bicycles from the homestay and take a beautiful cycle through the countryside to a number of tourist attractions, including Mua caves/viewpoint. In fact, when we hired the bicycles we were provided with security padlocks, cold bottles of water and information on where to go from the staff at the homestay. Upon checking out, we were able to securely leave our luggage in the reception area for the day. That evening we were allowed to use wash facilities before moving on to our next travel location. Ly even provided us with snacks for the journey. The homestay is wonderful, the staff lovely and location ideal for your next stay in Tam Coc/Ninh Binh. I will certainly return here in the future and cannot recommend enough.
