Hotels in Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Ho Chi Minh City

Location is great. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean but very dated. Amenities were basic. Hotel room doors didn’t fit the frame well and it didn’t feel secure. The hotel is noisy, as you would expect from the location. The price reflects what you get, and I would leave a better review on this basis, were it not for the fact that the entire hotel smelled of cigarettes, despite there being no smoking signs everywhere! If you’re looking for something basic in a great location on a budget, it will be ok, but don’t expect anything beyond functional.

Location is good. However, as in other people's reviews, the club next door? The explosion is amazing ... On the first day, I wanted to go to bed early, but I couldn't sleep until 23:30 because of the excitement. The next day, I had a room change, but it became a fairly small room, and it was said that the sound was better because it was a room in the middle, and the window was small, so I thought it was okay. Still, I heard it. The staff was good.

Perfect city escape with a riverside view Our stay at Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel was a beautiful ending to our Vietnam trip. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, yet with peaceful river views that make you forget the hustle of the city. The rooftop pool is simply stunning, with an amazing panoramic view over the river and skyline — it’s a must-see both day and night. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a restful final night. The staff were professional, polite, and helpful — check-in was smooth and welcoming. The hotel is also just a short walk from many city landmarks like Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the Opera House, and the Central Post Office. You can even catch a glimpse of the new metro station right outside. It was the perfect place to relax before our flight, and we would definitely stay here again when we return to the city.

The location of this hotel really fits for travelers coming to Ho Chi Minh for tour and exploring as it is located in Nguyen Hue walking street in night time and you can mingle around in night time that we don't need to go far as it is surrounded by big famous brands in fashion, big shopping mall suc as Saigon Center, local restaurants, local coffee shops that I like most is Vietnamese ice coffee with little sugar added. Anyway, overall hotel room and service quality is acceptable, but with room interior I have stayed in that I don't think it can comply up to 4 Star Hotel standard because air-conditioning is not located in right place in room itself and even power socket such as we need to use for charging phone placing under bed table so I have to take time 😄to find where it is in first time entering room provided. Overall, it is acceptable, anyways I think prices I pay for to get 4 star hotel room quality that it is not there yet. Thank you

Au Lac Charner is well situated for shopping and nightlife. There are several mini marts within a minutes walk. And so many dining options. However, it is the staff and the amenities that truly made our stay well above average. From front desk, the impeccable doormen and restaurant staff, our stay was wonderful. We had a balcony room. I would suggest asking for a higher floor, as we looked into a car park. Our room was spotless. Our cleaner was the most lovely and thorough man. He did a turn down service around 2pm to freshen the room. Au Lac have luggage scales that were brought by staff to our room so we could sort out what we could take for a domestic flight. They stored our extra luggage until our return. Water is not rationed. Or charged if you want more. And the room service we had a few times was excellent. I recommend the shaking beef noodles. Breakfast is basic but tasty and changes daily. I will be staying here in future. I included a pic of a little outdoor area of the dining room that was quiet and secluded from the main breakfast area.

The hotel is located at the town centre. It is near to the Opera House, about 5 minutes walk. For Muslim travellers, there is a Mosque about 50 meters from the hotel. We booked a family room and we are very satisfied the the room. The breakfast is quite good and the service is excellent. We are very happy with the hotel and will definitely return for our next trip to Saigon.

Receptionist was lovely lady, accommodating, and so so helpful. Location is central. I had room 501 not noisy at all. However, whenever I return to the room after a long day, it has a funky smell. I turn on the exhaust at the bathroom and put the odour neutraliser directly to the aircon and the smell it goes away. The pillowcase had stains which I informed reception and she gladly changed it.

First time in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam ✈️🇻🇳 I decided to stay here after reading other people's reviews without doing much research. It's within walking distance of the main tourist spots and there are many luxury hotels in the area, but this price is great! The hotel staff (including the cleaning staff) are all very kind! I arrived earlier than check-in time (1pm) and thought I wouldn't be able to get in yet... but they showed me to my room! They kept my luggage for me after I checked out, which was very helpful! The bus to the airport is about a 7-minute walk away, so I think it's very convenient! (Too bad the train isn't running yet!) If I had to say something, the water pressure in the shower was weak due to the aging of the building, and it wasn't cold, but it was warm... The shower head was broken, brown water was coming out from under the sink? It was close to the main street, so there was club-like music playing until late at night lol If you close the windows and curtains, there's no problem at all! It was a very satisfying trip to Vietnam! !

Everything up to expectations. Continental Saigon hotel has a long history of more than one hundred years. It’s nice to step inside this hotel and feeling the mood of the past while enjoying all the modern comforts. We booked a suite with balcony and view on the Opera theater. The location is perfect for walking to all the major attractions in district 1 and nearby districts. Check in and out fast and efficient. Staff very helpful to suits our needs. Good breakfast served in a nice inside patio with trees and plants.

This location is amazing. Right in the main area of D1, close to everything but with less road noise than many of the places. The desk staff are helpful and kind. The onsite massage place is where I got the best leg massage of my life. I literally went back 4 days in a row because it was so good. The room was basic, but sparkling clean. The hotel is targeted at local travelers, not foreign travelers, so please know the bed is firm. I slept well and have no complains with anything. The cleaning staff were very kind and made sure we had waters all the time.
